3a Read the sentences. What tenses d they use? When d yu use each tense?
Sentences 1, 3, 4 use the simple past tense (一般過(guò)去時(shí)), and sentence 2 uses the simple present tense (一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)).I use the simple past tense t talk abut things happened in the past, and I use the simple present tense t talk abut facts and states r things that frequently happen.

【特別提醒】通常情況下,一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)與頻度副詞(如ften、always等)連用,但一般過(guò)去時(shí)也可與頻度副詞連用,表示過(guò)去某個(gè)動(dòng)作發(fā)生的頻率。He always played basketball with his classmates after schl last term. 上學(xué)期放學(xué)后,他總是和同學(xué)們一起打籃球。

解析:句意:杰基通常每天看報(bào)紙,但昨天他在電視上看了一場(chǎng)足球比賽。根據(jù)“every day”可知第一空應(yīng)用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí),且主語(yǔ)是第三人稱(chēng)單數(shù),應(yīng)填reads;根據(jù)“yesterday”可知第二空應(yīng)用一般過(guò)去時(shí),應(yīng)填watched。故選B。
