lie /la?/v. 撒謊 n. 謊言【教材原句】Tw brthers came and lied t him... 兩兄弟來了,對(duì)他撒謊說……(P59, 2a)【用法 1】lie 是不及物動(dòng)詞,當(dāng)意為 “撒謊” 時(shí),其過去式和過去分詞都是 lied,現(xiàn)在分詞是 lying,常用結(jié)構(gòu):lie t sb 對(duì)某人撒謊。lie 還可意為 “存在;處于;平躺”,此時(shí)其過去式為 lay,過去分詞為 lain。【例句】He ften lied t his friends. 他經(jīng)常對(duì)他的朋友說謊。Dn't lie in the sun fr t lng. 不要在日光下躺太長(zhǎng)時(shí)間?!居梅?2】作名詞,意為 “謊言”,常用結(jié)構(gòu):tell a lie 說謊?!纠洹縒hen she tells a lie, she feels nervus. 當(dāng)她說謊時(shí),她會(huì)感到緊張。
