I. Teaching Objectives
1. Language Objectives:
(1)Students will be able t understand and crrectly use the fllwing
vcabulary and phrases: lcker, snack, mbile phne, turn ff, etc.
(2)Students will master the sentence structures: "We can't...", "We must
nt...", and be able t express pinins abut schl rules using "mustn't",
"can't", and "have t".
2. Listening and Reading Skills:
(1)Students will be able t cmprehend dialgues abut schl rules and
capture key infrmatin.
(2)They will be able t read and understand shrt texts abut schl rules
and cmplete related tasks.
3. Speaking and Writing Skills:
(1)Students will engage in ral and written expressin abut schl rules
using the learned sentence structures.
(2)They will develp the ability t express their pinins n schl rules
accurately and fluently in English.
4. Cultural Awareness:
(1)Students will understand the imprtance f fllwing rules and
develp a sense f rule cnsciusness.
(2)They will enhance their adaptability t schl life and identify with the
schl by learning abut different rules that may exist in varius schls.
II. Teaching Methds
1. Task-Based Language Teaching: Design varius tasks fr students t
learn and use language thrugh task cmpletin.
2. Situatinal Language Teaching: Create authentic language situatins
fr students t experience and understand language in cntext.
3. Interactive Language Teaching: Encurage active participatin in class
interactins t imprve students' learning mtivatin and initiative.
III. Teaching Prcedures
Step 1: Warm-Up (5 minutes)
1. Display images f schl scenes and ask: "What d yu d at schl
every day?"
2. Allw students t freely answer, e.g., "We study, play sprts, have
lunch, etc."
Teacher: "Yes, we d many things at schl. But there are sme rules at
schl. D yu knw them?" Intrduce the tpic f "schl rules."
Step 2: Presentatin and Listening (10 minutes)
Predictin:
1. Shw students the images and sentences in 2a and ask them t predict
what they might hear.
2. Play the audi recrding nce, and students shuld circle the clred
wrds they hear.
3. Play the recrding again and check the answers. Guide students t pay
attentin t vcabulary related t items and lcatins, such as "pencil
bx," "pen," "lcker," "at hme," etc.
Step 3: Reading and Discussin (10 minutes)
Reading Activity:
1. Have students quickly read the cnversatin in 2b and cmplete Tm's
ntes abut schl rules.
2. Teacher shuld ram the classrm and prvide guidance.
Pair Discussin:
1. Students wrk in pairs t discuss the questins in 2c.
2. After discussin, share findings with the class. Teacher shuld guide
students t crrectly use sentence structures t express their pinins.
Step 4: Prnunciatin (10 minutes)
Listening Fcus:
1. Play the recrding fr 2e and ask students t pay attentin t stressed
wrds.
2. Students fllw the recrding and imitate the prnunciatin and
intnatin.
Rle-Play:
Students read the dialgue in rles, and the teacher prvides evaluatin
and guidance.
Step 5: Grup Discussin (5 minutes)
1. Students discuss schl rules in grups. Teacher shuld participate in
the discussins, prviding necessary assistance.
2. Each grup selects a representative t reprt their findings t the class.
Other students listen attentively and can ask questins r make additins.
Step 6: Hmewrk (5 minutes)
1. Ask students t write dwn three rules f their schl in written frm
and express their pinins n these rules.
2. Have students recite the dialgue in 2b.
