Friday 8 September Hw time flies! I can’t believe the first week is cming t an end. Things are ging quite well, and there are ne r tw things in particular that have left a deep impressin n me.
The English class n Thursday was unfrgettable. During the class, we were asked t give a shrt speech abut the first day at senir high. All my classmate were excited but I buried my head in my bk. I had never delivered a speech in English befre, and wrse still, I didn’t feel quite at ease speaking in public. I was secretly hping that nbdy wuld ntice me, when suddenly I heard my name called.
I std up, blushing, with nthing cming ut f my muth. “Dn’t be shy! Just think f yur first day at senir high and say whatever cmes t mind. Imagine we are all pumpkins if it helps.” The teacher’s wrds made me relax a bit, and I finally began t say smething. Despite my trembling vice, I gave my first ever public speech in English. It was hard, but it didn’t feel bad.
After schl that day, I decided t g t the English club t further practise my English. I believe that by practising mre I can imprve a lt. As the saying ges, “Practice makes perfect.” While I was trying t pick up the curage t talk t smene, I heard a kind vice behind me. “Hell, I’m Tm, Nice t meet yu.” Sitting side-by-side, he shared with me sme tips n hw t imprve my English. We had a lvely chat and sn became friends.
The first week f senir high has been quite exciting, and I am lking frward t making the mst f senir high!
