本課時(shí)涉及的是語言知識(shí)運(yùn)用，包括-ing as subject和 Sprts rle mdels兩部分。
-ing as subject講解動(dòng)詞-ing形式作主語的用法，要求學(xué)生掌握用法特點(diǎn)，分析出句中的主語部分，并注意動(dòng)詞-ing形式作主語時(shí)謂語動(dòng)詞要用單數(shù)。
Sprts rle mdels包括兩部分。第一部分 Senir Citizens’ Sprts Club主要講述了在老年運(yùn)動(dòng)俱樂部里，老年人可以進(jìn)行哪些體育活動(dòng)；第二部分主要介紹了體育楷模的鼓舞作用。
課時(shí)目標(biāo)
1.掌握本課時(shí)的重點(diǎn)單詞 cheat、remarkable以及短語 cmpare with、refer t、thrw away、fight fr等的用法，并能在真實(shí)語境中靈活運(yùn)用。
2.掌握動(dòng)詞-ing形式作主語的用法。
3.引導(dǎo)學(xué)生了解體育精神，聽懂與體育精神相關(guān)的話題內(nèi)容，能夠恰當(dāng)?shù)剡\(yùn)用相關(guān)表達(dá)闡述自己的意見并進(jìn)行解釋。
4.通過老年人運(yùn)動(dòng)俱樂部以及體育楷模，激勵(lì)學(xué)生們自覺、踴躍地參加體育活動(dòng)，強(qiáng)身健體，并鍛煉自已的毅力，培養(yǎng)良好的性格品質(zhì)。

3.預(yù)習(xí)課本P29~31的內(nèi)容，找出該部分的新詞匯，并根據(jù)上下文猜測其含義。

3. Give enugh examples f the usages f -ing as subject. Guide students t sum up the usages f -ing as subject. Then ask students t give examples.

(1) Cmplete the passage with the crrect frm f the wrds in the bx.
（2）Think abut whether yu agree with the pint f view in Activity 3 and share yur pinin with the class. Use the -ing frm as subject where apprpriate.
