It was starting t get dark and Bbby reluctantly turned t walk hme when suddenly his eyes caught the glimmer (微光) f the setting sun's rays reflecting n smething n the radside. He reached dwn and discvered a shiny dime (一角硬幣).
Never befre has anyne felt as wealthy as Bbby did at that mment. As he held his newly-fund treasure,warmth spread thrughut his entire bdy and he walked int the first stre. His excitement quickly turned cld when salespersn after salespersn tld him that he culd nt buy anything with nly a dime.
He saw a flwer shp and went inside t wait in line. When the shp wner asked if he culd help him,Bbby presented the dime and asked if he culd buy ne flwer fr his mther's Christmas gift. The shp wner lked at Bbby and his ten cent ffering. Then he put his hand n Bbby's shulder,saying,“Yu just wait here and I'll see what I can d fr yu.”
The sund f the dr clsing as the last custmer left pulled Bbby back t reality. All alne in the shp,Bbby began t feel alne and afraid.
