本課時(shí)包括 Starting ut和 Understanding ideas兩部分。
Starting ut是導(dǎo)入部分，首先通過觀察圖片中人物的行為，推測他們是什么類型的人。然后讓學(xué)生觀看視頻，了解三段對話的共同點(diǎn)，并思考自己是否有過類似的經(jīng)歷及在類似的情形下，自己會如何應(yīng)對。該部分通過兩個(gè)練習(xí)活動，將學(xué)生迅速帶入真實(shí)的人際交往的場景，為后面的學(xué)習(xí)做好準(zhǔn)備。
Understanding ideas部分介紹了十七歲的少年Ben成長中的煩惱。Ben將自己對球隊(duì)一名隊(duì)員的不滿說給朋友，朋友卻傳給了其他人,令Ben很難堪，不知所措，因此他給知心阿姨寫信求助。知心阿姨耐心地分析了問題，并提出了建議，為Ben解疑釋惑。通過Ben生活中的困擾，以及知心阿姨的解答，讓學(xué)生進(jìn)一步了解人際交往中應(yīng)該注意的事項(xiàng)，并且學(xué)會如何處理類似問題，領(lǐng)會交往原則，學(xué)會用正確的方式理性地處理生活中的問題，通過積極主動的交流和溝通，建立良好的人際關(guān)系。
課時(shí)目標(biāo)：
1.認(rèn)知并靈活運(yùn)用本課時(shí)的重點(diǎn)單詞 steam，lse sink，fault，reslve，strategy，signal，breath，cncern 以及短語 help ut，let dwn，let ff steam，take a breath，pull ne’s weight，lse lips sink ships。
2.通過速讀、精讀等方式，引導(dǎo)學(xué)生由淺入深，逐層推進(jìn)，加深對文章的理解，并掌握不同的閱讀技巧和方法。通過對所設(shè)置題目的解答，讓學(xué)生學(xué)會根據(jù)關(guān)鍵詞提取重要信息，理清文章線索，并學(xué)會深層次分析問題，進(jìn)行語言加工，提高歸納概括和推理判斷的能力。
3.通過閱讀文章，了解人際交往中的原則，學(xué)會通過交流、溝通，建立良好的人際關(guān)系。

1.做好該部分內(nèi)容的視頻材料、PPT以及音頻素材。
2.設(shè)計(jì)好閱讀理解題目，利用不同方式拓展語言點(diǎn)，激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣。
學(xué)生準(zhǔn)備：
1.在網(wǎng)上搜索和了解人際交往中需要注意的事項(xiàng)，了解人際交往對人們的影響，領(lǐng)會人際交往的重要性。
2.思考在人際交往中應(yīng)該注意什么，怎樣才能建立良好的、健康的、和諧的人際關(guān)系。
3.預(yù)習(xí) Starting ut和 Understanding ideas兩部分的內(nèi)容，通過查字典等方式提前解決詞匯問題。

（1）Activity3讓學(xué)生選出文章的主旨大意，主要考查學(xué)生的歸納、概括能力。點(diǎn)撥學(xué)生要根據(jù)文章的關(guān)鍵詞，確定具體角度，從而選出最佳答案。

（2）Activity4是通過表格的形式，將少年Ben的困擾以及知心阿姨的解答和建議清晰地列舉出來，要求學(xué)生理清文章主線，回扣原文，找出關(guān)鍵詞填空。該題源自課文，目標(biāo)明確，難度不大，鍛煉學(xué)生原文定位、確定答案的能力。
