t ne's amazement令某人吃驚的是
be amazed by/at. 對…感到吃驚
We were all amazed at the amazing scene. T ur amazement，the little by was quite calm. 這令人驚訝的一幕使我們都驚呆了。讓我們驚訝的是，這個小男孩相當冷靜。
有些表示情緒變化的動詞（surprise，amuse，excite，Interest，disappint等），其對應(yīng)的以-ing結(jié)尾的形容詞強調(diào)事物的特征，常譯為“令人……的以-ed結(jié)尾的形容詞強調(diào)人內(nèi)心的感受，常譯為“感到……的”。另外，-ed結(jié)尾的形容詞還可以用來修飾人的表情、聲音等。encuraging鼓舞人心的一 encuraged受到鼓舞的satisfying令人滿意的一satisfied滿意的surprising令人吃驚的一-surprised驚訝的mving令人感動的一 mved感動的frightening令人害怕的一frightened害怕的puzzling令人迷惑的一puzzled困惑的

experience failure/success經(jīng)歷失敗成功
be experienced in. 在……方面有經(jīng)驗inexperienced 缺乏認識（或經(jīng)驗）的
have experience in. . 在……方面有經(jīng)驗learn by/frm experience從經(jīng)驗中學習
The experienced climber experienced a lt，and he gained much experience frm his wn adventurus experiences. 這位有經(jīng)驗的登山者經(jīng)歷了許多，他從自己刺激的經(jīng)歷中收獲了很多經(jīng)驗。
表示“體驗，經(jīng)歷”的詞或短語： underg v. 經(jīng)歷g thrugh經(jīng)歷；遭受
in vain徒勞無益；白費力氣It was bvius that all her cmplaints were in vain. 很明顯她所有的抱怨都是白費口舌。2. All attempts t rescue the by with cancer were in vain. 所有搶救那個患癌癥的男孩的努力都白費了。

in anger生氣地be filled with anger/be full f anger滿腔怒火be shaking with anger氣得發(fā)抖cntrl ne's anger強壓某人的怒火
The gd-tempered bss hardly gets angry with his children. Even thugh he is shaking with anger at times，he tries t cntrl his anger. He never blames them ludly and angrily. 這個好脾氣的老板很少生他孩子的氣。即使有時他氣得渾身發(fā)抖，他也會竭力控制自己的怒氣。他從不大聲憤怒地責備他們。

把……與…結(jié)合起來”聚會：unite…with…bnd…t…link up with…be cnnected with…
why nt+動詞原形 為什么不……呢？1. Why nt thrw a party fr yur friends？為什么不為你的朋友們搞個聚會呢？2. Why nt stp them（frm）plluting the river？為什么不阻止他們污染這條河呢？
infrm sb. f/abut sth. 通知某人某事infrm sb+that/wh-類從句通知某人
keep sb. infrmed f/abut sth. 讓某人了解某事
infrm后不能直接跟雙賓語。類似用法的還有：remind sb. f sth. 提醒某人某事warn sb. against/abut sth. 警告某人某事rb sb. f sth. 搶劫某人某物cure sb. f sth. 治好某人的疾病accuse sb. f sth. 控告某人某事rid sb. f sth. 去除某人某物cnvince sb. f sth. 使某人信服某事suspect sb. f sth. 懷疑某人某事
infrmatin意為“信息，消息；資料；情報”，是不可數(shù)名詞，沒有復數(shù)形式，“一則消息”可以用a piece f infrmatin表示，“許多信息”可以用many pieces f infrmatin表示。
prvide…fr. . . 為……提供…. . 1. The htel prvides a reservatin f tickets fr its residents. 這家旅館為旅客提供訂票服務(wù)。2. The gvernment prvided much fd fr the sufferers in the earthquake. 政府為地震中的受難者提供了很多食物。
by/in cmparisn with與……相比較by cmparisn比較起來make a cmparisn between. . and…在……和…之間作比較

He cmpared the girl t the mn in the pem. 他在詩中把那個姑娘比作月亮。
