Mogao Caves are magnificent art treasures. Caves, or the Caves of the Thousand Buddhas(千佛洞), are located in Dunhuang, Gansu Province, on the ancient Silk Road. The murals (壁畫(huà))and Buddha figures (佛像)in these caves are world-famous. The area was listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1987.
Unfortunately, Mogao Caves is disappearing. How do people preserve them?

觀眾可以用小型LED手電筒模擬火炬照亮壁畫(huà),這種交互設(shè)計(jì)方式讓觀眾身臨其境地感受到探索洞穴時(shí)的真實(shí)體驗(yàn)。作品的另外一個(gè)亮點(diǎn)是虛擬放大鏡,可以讓觀看者通過(guò)可以放大細(xì)節(jié)并以超高分辨率觀看壁畫(huà)。
畫(huà)中的特定物體,被重建為浮出屏幕的三維模型動(dòng)畫(huà)。帶著3D眼鏡的觀眾可以看到真實(shí)立體的形象。
這件作品一大特點(diǎn)是對(duì)壁畫(huà)中宴會(huì)場(chǎng)景的真實(shí)復(fù)原,觀眾選中奏樂(lè)人物時(shí),會(huì)出現(xiàn)樂(lè)器的模型動(dòng)畫(huà)與所奏音樂(lè),選中舞蹈仕女時(shí)則會(huì)出現(xiàn)真人復(fù)原舞蹈表演,觀眾可以直觀感受到千年前的藝術(shù)歷史文化。
