阿布辛拜勒努比亞神廟和紀(jì)念碑遺址是埃及著名古跡 Egypt’s famous ancient sites，位于埃及東南部尼羅河上游河畔，埃及和蘇丹交界的努比亞地區(qū)。這里曾是古埃及文明的發(fā)源地，存有以阿布辛拜勒神廟為代表的、大量極具考古價(jià)值的宏偉古跡。

神廟于公元前1275年，埃及第十九王朝法老拉美西斯二世統(tǒng)治時(shí)期建造。神廟在設(shè)計(jì)和建筑時(shí)，把當(dāng)時(shí)最先進(jìn)的地理、天文、數(shù)學(xué)等知識巧妙地吸收和運(yùn)用了進(jìn)來，使陽光在每年的2月21日和10月21日兩次穿過60多米長的甬道，直接照射在寺廟最內(nèi)部拉美西斯二世的雕像上，營造了舉世無雙的“日出奇觀”。
神廟在尼羅河兩岸的峭壁上鑿出，高約33米，寬約37米，縱深約61米。其中神廟正面的4個(gè)巨大的雕像是法老拉美西斯二世本人。這些巨型雕像逼真地再現(xiàn)了法老拉美西斯二世的形象。其中的一個(gè)由于地震的破壞而缺損了頭部。在4尊雕像的小腿之間有些小雕像，它們是拉美西斯二世的孩子們和他的妹妹娜弗塔瑞。
