ness是個(gè)名詞后綴,一些形容詞后加ness可變成名詞,如:

3) pain n. 疼痛,努力


e.g. He has pains in the arm. 他手臂痛。


painful adj. 痛苦的;疼痛的;令人不快的


e.g. He had a painful experience in the past. 他過去有一段痛苦的經(jīng)歷。

ttal adj. 總的,全體的

ppularity 表示“聲望;知名度”之意。當(dāng)我們說t win ppularity或t enjy ppularity即指“享盛名;得眾望;受歡迎”。


e.g. Cuntry music is grwing in ppularity. 鄉(xiāng)村音樂正逐漸得到更多人的喜愛。
