本課時包括 Starting ut和 Understanding ideas兩部分。
Starting ut是導(dǎo)入部分,包括觀看視頻回答問題和聽讀詩歌回答問題兩個環(huán)節(jié)。通過觀看視頻回答問題,將學(xué)生導(dǎo)入視頻中提到的人物、他們的成就以及他們成功的原因。在聽和閱讀詩歌的過程中,教師引導(dǎo)學(xué)生理解詩歌的特點,并了解詩歌所傳遞的信息:無論遇到什么困境,都不要放棄。
Understanding ideas部分以例證法來闡述堅持的力量。著名作家(喬安妮·凱瑟琳·羅琳)、JD.Salinger(杰羅姆·大衛(wèi)·塞林格)以及 Brnt? sisters(勃朗特三姐妹)在屢次被拒稿的情況下,依然堅持自己的夢想。通過堅持和努力,讓夢想綻放得絢麗奪目,成就世界文學(xué)史上的經(jīng)典著作。

1.認(rèn)知并靈活運用本課時的重點單詞debt、pace、 infrm、rarely、rejectin、nevertheless、persevere、criticism、classic、endurance、guarantee、delighted以及短語 stick t、take fr example、translate int等。
2.通過速度、精讀等方式,引導(dǎo)學(xué)生由淺入深,逐層推進(jìn),加深對文章的理解,并掌握不同的閱讀技巧和方法。通過對所設(shè)置題目的解答,學(xué)生學(xué)會根據(jù)關(guān)鍵詞提取重要信息,理清文章線索,并學(xué)會深層次分析問題,提高歸納概括、推理判斷的能力。

1.在網(wǎng)上搜索美國詩人 Edgar Albert Guest(埃德加·阿爾貝特·格斯特)的名篇《不要放棄》,并了解詩歌的特點以及所要傳達(dá)的信息。
2.上網(wǎng)搜索作家(喬安妮·凱瑟琳·羅琳)、(杰羅姆·大衛(wèi)·塞林格)以及 Brnt? sisters(勃朗特三姐妹)的生活背景、創(chuàng)作之路以及堅持夢想所付出的努力和成就。
3.預(yù)習(xí) Starting ut和 Understanding ideas兩部分的內(nèi)容,通過查字典等方式提前解決詞匯問題。

Step I Starting ut
1. Play the vide fr students t watch, then ask them t answer the fllwing questins:

2. Play the tape fr students t listen and then ask them t answer the fllwing questins:

3. Ask students t read the pem and learn it further.
