T:What day is it today? S:It’s Thursday. T:Can you spell Thursday? S:Yes. T—H—U—R—S—D—A—Y. T:What’s the date today? S:It’s November 19th. T:What’s today? S:It’s Thursday,November 19th. Step 2 Presentation 1. Use the table below to teach the new word and phrases:weekday,the day before yesterday,the day after tomorrow,look after. (板書新單詞、短語(yǔ)) T:Look at the table. It’s Wednesday today. It was Tuesday yesterday and it was Monday...(停頓,讓學(xué)生接著說the day before yesterday) Teacher writes “the day before yesterday” in the table. Teach “the day after tomorrow” in the same way. T:Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday and Friday are weekdays. Saturday and Sunday are weekend. Teacher writes “weekdays” in the table. 2. Talk more about the calendar with students. T:You know today is Thursday,November 19th. Then what day was it yesterday? S:It was Wednesday. T:What was the date yesterday? S:It was November 18th. T:What was the day before yesterday? S:It was Tuesday,November 17th. Step 3 Practice 1. Work on 1a. Show the days of the week in a large monthly calendar. Point out the days of the week at the top of the calendar and ask a student to read these words aloud. Ask a student to point out today’s date,tomorrow’s date,the day after tomorrow’s date and yesterday’s date. Complete 1a,and then check the answers. 2. Work on 1b. Ask students to write the words and phrases“today,tomorrow,yesterday,the day before yesterday,the day after tomorrow,weekday,weekend” in the right places on the calendar in 1a. 3. Work on 1c. (1)Explain the new sentences:“What’s today/tomorrow/the day after tomorrow?”“It’s Monday the 14th.” Note:詢問日期的句型是(以詢問今天的日期為例)What’s the date today? ;詢問星期幾的句型是(以詢問今天是星期幾為例)What day is it today? 。 (2)Students work in pairs to ask and answer questions about the days according to the calendar in 1a. Step 4 Listening 1. Teach the new phrase. Show the picture to students. T:Look at the picture. They are Han Mei’s mother and grandmother. What is her mother doing? Ss:She is looking after Han Mei’s grandmother. (Help students to answer if necessary. ) T:What does the phrase “l(fā)ook after” mean in Chinese? Ss:It means “照顧”. 2. Explanation. look after意為“照顧”,同義短語(yǔ)take care of。 Ken often looks after his sister at home. 肯經(jīng)常在家照顧他的妹妹。 Can you look after my cat for me while I’m away? 我不在的時(shí)候,你可以幫我照顧我的貓嗎? 3. Work on 1d. (1)T:Look at this picture. Do you know the boy? His name is Vince. What sport does he like,do you know? S:I think he likes playing soccer. T:What is he doing now? S:He is talking on the phone. T:Yes,he is talking with Andy now. Andy is inviting Vince to play tennis with him. Can Vince play tennis with Andy? Then let’s listen to the tape and get the answer. (2)Tell students to listen to Vince and Andy’s conversation and circle Yes or No. (3)Play the recording for the students. Students just listen for the first time. Play the recording again and ask students to circle Yes or No. (4)Check the answer with students. Ask and answer like this: A:What is Vince going to do tomorrow? B:He is going to play soccer and he is going to have a piano lesson. Answer:Circled:No 4. Work on 1e. (1)Ask students to read Vince’s activities in 1d. Tell students they’ll listen to the tape again. Let students pay attention to the days. And we have also learned how to arrange our activities for a week. 當(dāng)堂達(dá)標(biāo)(見導(dǎo)學(xué)案“當(dāng)堂達(dá)標(biāo)”) 答案與解析: Ⅰ. 1. before;looked the day before yesterday 是固定表達(dá),意為“前天”;look after 意為“照顧;照看”,表示過去發(fā)生的事情用一般過去時(shí),動(dòng)詞look的過去式為looked。 2. Tomorrow 由前句句意“今天是周一”可知“明天是周二”。 3. weekdays 句意:工作日他不能玩電腦游戲。 4. after the day after tomorrow是固定搭配,意為“后天”。 5. What’s 由答語(yǔ)句意“是14號(hào),星期五”可知問句應(yīng)是“今天是什么日子?” Ⅱ. 1.
