本單元是第二課時reading部分,是一個單元的中心,起著承上啟下的作用,integrated skills 和main task都是圍繞reading展開的內(nèi)容。該篇主要從時間,慶祝方式等方面對“萬圣節(jié)”進行相關(guān)的介紹,作為Reading的第一課時,一是要求學(xué)生在情景教學(xué)和任務(wù)型教學(xué)指引下,掌握基本單詞和詞組,掃清閱讀障礙;引導(dǎo)學(xué)生通讀全文,通過提問找出文章關(guān)鍵詞和要點,宏觀把握整體文章結(jié)構(gòu);通過跳讀,掃讀和精讀,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀能力,總結(jié)文章大意以及作者寫作意圖。二是通過對萬圣節(jié)的相關(guān)介紹,了解不同國家節(jié)日的慶祝方式,培養(yǎng)跨文化意識的理解和深刻的愛國主義情懷,提升學(xué)生的世界觀和價值觀,成為一名熱愛生活,享受生活和學(xué)習(xí)的人。所以這篇課文為學(xué)生提供了與單元中心任務(wù)和語法知識密切相關(guān)的閱讀資料。

本單元的話題為Let’s celebrate ,著重介紹“節(jié)日的名稱,時間以及慶祝方式”等,為了更清晰地介紹某個中外節(jié)日,教材在該單元的Welcme t the unit中向?qū)W生呈現(xiàn)了多個中外節(jié)目,從語言知識的角度看,難度并不很大,但由于學(xué)生們在英語學(xué)習(xí)過程中重視語言積累匱乏,在學(xué)習(xí)中存在一定的難度。在日常生活中學(xué)生對萬圣節(jié)的了解不多,對該節(jié)日的認(rèn)知大多停留在制作南瓜燈這個活動上,甚至對于大部分同學(xué)來說幾乎是陌生的,而對于其他的活動,知道的學(xué)生可能寥寥無幾。所以正因為這樣,學(xué)生會對本節(jié)課的教學(xué)內(nèi)容感到新鮮有趣,同時又有陌生感。因此教師應(yīng)該在介紹萬圣節(jié)慶祝方式時利用相關(guān)錄像或者圖片幫助學(xué)生增加形象記憶,從而更好地掌握該節(jié)課內(nèi)容,加深學(xué)生對相關(guān)知識的理解。

play a vide abut Hallween . ( this is Hallween)
1.Race t guess the festival accrding t the pictures.

2. Watch the vide
T aruse the students’ interest thrugh the guessing game and help students review what they learnt in last lessn. By the way, lead in the tpic abut Hallween.
Step2 Pre-reading

2. Present sme new wrds with sme pictures.
3.Wrd games: Wh has the best memry.
1. Wrk in grups. Try t think abut the questin and share their ideas.

(Tell the students nt t read all the letter, just read the beginning and the ending.)

Task 3: Read and fill in blank.

Task 4:Read the article after the vide

read the letter as quick as they can and answer three questins.
Read the passage carefully and then wrk in grup t find ut the details in the passage.

Read the passage ne mre time and finish Part B1. Then sme f them cme t the frnt t write dwn their answers n blackbard.

Guide students t wrk in grups t make a mind-map. Then try t retell accrding the mind-map.
