ahead of意為“在……前面”,其用法如下:

(2)表示能力、水平、地位或先進(jìn)性等方面,意為“比……強(qiáng)/高”,主要用作表語(yǔ)。

He helped me with my English and showed me around many places. One day I was badly ill. He sent me to hospital and looked after me well. He prepared delicious Chinese food for me. So I got well soon. With his help, my English had greatly improved and I had learned more about American culture.
