Lking at the landscape in the picture I think Shackletn and his team wuld have faced many cha-llenges. First f all，it was very cld and there was snw and ice every-where. The area is als very munt-ainus，s they wuld have had t climb with their essentials. It wuld als be hard t knw where they were ging as the place is very large and all lks the same. On tp f the physical challenges，they wuld have had great mental challenges facing thse cnditins and nt knwing what t expect and whether they wuld succeed.

He decided t g t Suth Gergia Island fr help. He chse five members t jin him n the trip and I was ne f them. I have been wrking n ships fr my whle life and my strng navigatin skills culd guide us acrss the dangerus sea. Hwever，t my surprise，Shackletn als picked the mst difficult and unfriendly member t jin us n the trip. I later learnt that he did this because he wanted the grup remaining n the island t stay cheerful and psitive until we returned. We sailed n very rugh seas fr days. The sea was s strng that it was almst impssible fr me t check ur psitin. I was nly able t use my instruments three times during the trip. It scared me t think that we might sail past Suth Gergia Island. This wuld mean that we might sail int the pen sea and there wuld be n rescue!
Unfrtunately，we did sail ff-curse fr a while，meaning we landed n the wrng side f Suth Gergia Island. We had t climb ver the muntains t get help. The muntains lked s steep that I thught we might have t slide dwn them n ur bttms! When we arrived at the whaling statin，Shackletn immediately arranged fr a rescue bat t return t Elephant Island. Hwever，due t the rugh seas，we culd nt get near t the island. Shackletn became wrried abut the men. He was very anxius and began t lk extremely ld. We tried fr three mnths t rescue the 22 men. Finally，we were able t reach Elephant Island and luckily find everyne still alive! They were verjyed t see us and everyne began t cry.
