In the 1960s
Peple in Amsterdam first had the idea fr “white bikes”. They wanted t reduce the amunt f traffic and pllutin in the city centre. They painted hundreds f bikes white and left them arund the city centre fr peple t use. Within a matter f weeks,the bikes had all been stlen and the prject came t an end.
“White bikes”returned t Amsterdam. This time every bike had a cmputer tracking system in it t make it pssible t recrd its mvements and yu had t use a special card t take a bike.
Bike-sharing is becming mre and mre ppular in cities arund the wrld,including Chinese cities.
