Today I’m going to talk about the sixth period in Section B of unit 5 What were you doing when the rainstorm came?, which is taken from Go for it, Book4. My presentation consists of six parts: analysis of the teaching material, analysis of the students, teaching methods, learning methods, teaching procedures and blackboard design.Part One Analysis of the teaching material一、Status and FunctionThis unit is mainly about telling past events using the past progressive tense. Let the students talk about what people were doing when the relevant events happened.
