all ...not ...=not all ...表示部分否定。
(1)英語中的all, both, every, everybody, everything, completely, always, whole, entirely 等與否定詞not連用,無論not位置如何,均構(gòu)成部分否定,表示“并非都”的意思。
(2)英語中的no, none, never, nobody, nothing, neither, no one, nowhere 等表否定意義的詞(組)與肯定式謂語一起使用構(gòu)成“全部否定”。
注意事項
在英語中常可見到一些形式上否定而意義上則表肯定的句子。如:You can never do the work too well.
