本板塊包括詞匯部分Types f natural disasters和聽說(shuō)部分Extreme weather cnditins。詞匯部分通過(guò)圖片呈現(xiàn)與自然災(zāi)害有關(guān)的詞匯,旨在引導(dǎo)學(xué)生掌握并運(yùn)用自然災(zāi)害相關(guān)的話題詞匯,并運(yùn)用這些詞匯表達(dá)個(gè)人觀點(diǎn);聽說(shuō)部分的材料是一則天氣預(yù)報(bào),旨在引導(dǎo)學(xué)生理解播報(bào)內(nèi)容和相關(guān)知識(shí)。整個(gè)板塊為學(xué)生提供真實(shí)語(yǔ)境下的英語(yǔ)技能的綜合訓(xùn)練,幫助學(xué)生在提高語(yǔ)言應(yīng)用能力的同時(shí)加深對(duì)單元主題的理解。
