句中的pencil, pen, eraser, ruler是可數(shù)名詞。
可數(shù)名詞是可以計數(shù)的單個的物體、人、想法等的名稱?？蓴?shù)名詞可以和a/an 以及數(shù)字連用; 它們有復(fù)數(shù)形式。

一般情況下，名詞后直接加-s
以字母s,x,ch,sh結(jié)尾的名詞，直接加-es

以輔音字母+y結(jié)尾的名詞，變y為i，然后加-es
以字母結(jié)尾的名詞，直接加-es或-s
以字母f/fe結(jié)尾的名詞，一般將f/fe變成ves

不可數(shù)名詞是通常不能看成單個個體的材料、液體等的名稱。不可數(shù)名詞通常不與a/an連用,也不和數(shù)字連用,大部分是單數(shù),沒有復(fù)數(shù)形式。

基數(shù)詞指表示數(shù)目的詞。如：ne, tw, three, fur, five等。

13-19: 在個位數(shù)上加后綴-teen
表“幾十”: 以后綴-ty結(jié)尾

冠詞不能單獨使用，常用于名詞的開頭。冠詞有兩種: 定冠詞the和不定冠詞a/an。(1) 表示雙方都知道所指的內(nèi)容，名詞前用the。
例如:Did yu see the mvie? 你看那部電影了嗎?Take the bks t the classrm. 把這些書帶到教室。

句中的an, a是冠詞。
(2) 表示其中一方不知道所指的內(nèi)容，則單數(shù)可數(shù)名詞前用a/an, 復(fù)數(shù)名詞或不可數(shù)名詞前用零冠詞。
例如:I have a lvely cat. 我有一只可愛的貓。She is afraid f tigers. 她害怕老虎。
