They are very curious and interested in learning English. Some of my students are shy but most of them are very active in class. They are familiar with this topic: meeting new people, because they have learnt how to greet with friends when they were in Grade 3. But they don’t know how to introduce their friends’ names by using ‘His/Her name is…’. 三、Teaching AimsKnowledge aimsby the end of class, students are able to:1) identify the new words: his, her, see you.2) know how to introduce other people by using: This is…  His/her name is..Skill aimsby the end of class, students are able to:1) develop reading skills such as: skimming/scanning/guessing the meaning.2) develop communicative skills through pair work/ group work.Moral and Thinking aimsby the end of class, students are able to:1) know the importance of names2) develop creative thinking by imaging what may happen next after Picture 3. 四、Teaching Keys and DifficultiesKey points:1) Ss can introduce others correctly by using ‘His/her name is…’ 2) Ss can know how to greet, introduce and say goodbye with each other.Difficult points:1) Ss can distinguish how to introduce boys’ names and girls’ names.2) Ss can introduce their families fluently. 五、Teaching Aids1) Students’ book 4A.  2) A toy pig (Peppa)  3.Seewo software 六、Teaching ProceduresI. Pre-task preparation Teacher’s activitiesStudents’  activitiesIntention1. Play the video: the hello song.Come into the class while singing the song.相關(guān)話題的歌曲導(dǎo)入不僅起到暖場(chǎng)作用也能讓學(xué)生快速走進(jìn)文本。2.Introduce teacher’s English name: Summer.Guess why the teacher’s English name is Summer.通過(guò)猜測(cè)名字的由來(lái),滲透起名的意義性,為下文鋪墊。3. Ask Ss’ namesIntroduce themselves通過(guò)已知句型為導(dǎo)入新句型做鋪墊。 II. While-task proceduresTeacher’s activitiesStudents’  activitiesIntention4.Introduce the difference between ‘his name’ and ‘her name’.Learn how to introduce their classmates.讓學(xué)生在情境中學(xué)會(huì)介紹不同性別的人并了解his/her的用法。5. Let Ss do some exercises.Choose the right answer.通過(guò)對(duì)動(dòng)漫人物的介紹檢測(cè)學(xué)生對(duì)新知的掌握程度。6. Let Ss think whether names are important.Try to think the question.通過(guò)對(duì)名字是否重要這一問(wèn)題的討論引入話題,正式進(jìn)入文本。7. Ask Ss some questions about the story and give them some tasks about the story too.?        Read and circle: who are the new people.?        Read and underline:  how Peter introduce the new people.?        Read and guess: What can Kitty, Sally and Paul say after they know each other??        Read and imagine: what may happen next??        Read and infer: the meaning of ‘See you’.通過(guò)有效問(wèn)題的設(shè)置,讓學(xué)生在探索中深刻理解文本內(nèi)容。并通過(guò)相關(guān)學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù),如:速度、畫(huà)圈、打下劃線等手段提高學(xué)生閱讀技能。同時(shí)通過(guò)讓學(xué)生聯(lián)想文本空白、聯(lián)想上下文猜測(cè)生詞等活動(dòng)激發(fā)學(xué)生發(fā)散性思維和想象力。8. Play the tapeListen and read after the tape.播放原聲,讓學(xué)生模仿語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào),糾正錯(cuò)誤發(fā)音。 III. Post-task activitiesTeacher’s activitiesStudents’  activitiesIntention9. Ask Ss to prepare the story in groups and they should read in different roles.They have 1 minute to prepare the ‘Read in roles’ activity and then show their work in front of the class.通過(guò)小組角色朗讀能夠提高學(xué)生讀文本的流利程度,也能增加生生之間的互動(dòng)性,同時(shí)上臺(tái)展示也是鍛煉學(xué)生自信心的好機(jī)會(huì)。10. Show Peppa’s family photo and ask Ss to introduce their families.Introduce their families in groups and then share in front of the class.通過(guò)介紹自己的全家福照片提高學(xué)生對(duì)核心句型的表達(dá)。11. Sum up: Names are very importantKnow names are love.通過(guò)本課話題知道名字不僅僅是稱呼,更是愛(ài)的傳遞。12. Introduce a picture book: the mouse with no name.Guess: Is the mouse with no name a somebody or nobody?由繪本故事的名稱引發(fā)學(xué)生思考,激發(fā)閱讀此繪本的興趣并布置家庭閱讀作業(yè)。 七、Homework1)  Read the picture book and try to think "Is he a somebody or no body ?"2)  Introduce your family to more friends. 八、Blackboard Design
