本課時學(xué)習(xí)有關(guān)電影影響人們的情緒的文章和定語從句。教學(xué)時通過給學(xué)生展示各種電影讓學(xué)生預(yù)先感知文本內(nèi)容;然后引導(dǎo)學(xué)生完成不同的學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù), 讓學(xué)生充分理解文本內(nèi)容, 然后復(fù)述課文, 輸出通過閱讀獲得的文本信息, 提高學(xué)生的語言運用能力;通過完成句子和朗讀Grammar Focus里面的例句, 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生總結(jié)定語從句相關(guān)用法;通過對應(yīng)練習(xí), 檢測學(xué)生對定語從句的掌握情況。

通過本課時的學(xué)習(xí), 讓學(xué)生達成以下目標(biāo):
1. 知識目標(biāo)
(1) 掌握本課時新單詞及短語: stick, down, dialog, ending, documentary, drama, plenty, shut, superhero, intelligent, stick to, plenty of, shut off, once in a while。

He/She doesn’t mind action movies(like Spider-Man)when he/she is too tired to think. He/She can just shut off his/her brain,sit back and enjoy watching an exciting superhero who always saves the world just in time. Movies that are scary can be fun,but he/she is too scared to watch them alone.
2. He/She prefers to watch movies that can cheer him/her up.
3. After watching comedies like Men in Black or cartoons like Kung Fu Panda,his /her problems suddenly seem less serious and he/she feels much better again.

1. What Do You Feel Like Watching Today?今天你想看什么(電影) ?
feel like doing sth. 想要做某事, 相當(dāng)于 would like to do sth./want to do sth.。
I feel like doing something different today.
= I would like/want to do something different today.
我今天想做點兒不一樣的事。
2. While some people stick to only one kind of movie, I like to watch different kinds depending on how I feel that day. 有些人堅持只看一種電影, 而我喜歡看不同類型的電影, 這取決于我那天的心情。
stick (stuck, stuck) 動詞, 意為“粘貼; 將……刺入”。
stick to 堅持, 維持 stick…into…把……插入……
The nurse stuck the needle into my arm. 護士把針扎進我的胳膊。
He promised to help us and he stuck to his word. 他答應(yīng)了要幫助我們, 他沒有失信。
3. When I’m down or tired, I prefer movies that can cheer me up. 當(dāng)我心情沮喪或疲憊時, 我更愛那些能使我高興起來的電影。
(1) down 形容詞, 意為“悲哀;沮喪”。
(2) cheer up 意為“使高興;使振奮” 。是動副型短語, 后接名詞時可置于up之前或之后, 接代詞時只能置于cheer與up之間。
Cheer up! It can’t be as bad as all that.
振作起來!情況不會總那么糟。
Nothing can cheer him up. 沒有什么能讓他高興起來。
4. Laughing for two hours is a good way to relax!兩個小時的歡笑是一種很好的放松方式!
“Laughing for two hours”是動名詞結(jié)構(gòu)作主語, 謂語動詞用第三人稱單數(shù)形式。
Doing exercise every day is good for your health.
每天鍛煉有益身體健康。
5. Documentaries like March of the Penguins which provide plenty of information about a certain subject can be interesting , but…像《帝企鵝日記》這種提供關(guān)于某個主題大量信息的紀錄片可能很有趣, 但是……
plenty of 意為“大量;充足”。既可修飾可數(shù)名詞復(fù)數(shù), 也可修飾不可數(shù)名詞。
There are plenty of books in the library.
圖書館里有大量的圖書。
There is plenty of coal in this area.
這個地區(qū)有豐富的煤。
6. I don’t mind action movies like Spider-Man when I’m too tired to think. 當(dāng)我太累不想思考時, 我不介意(看) 像《蜘蛛俠》這樣的動作片。
(1) mind 在此處用作及物動詞, 意為“介意”。
① mind (one’s) doing sth. 意為“介意(某人)做某事”。
Do you mind helping us? 你介意幫我們一下嗎?
② Would/Do you mind (me/my) …? 意為“你介意(我)……?”, 其后可接動名詞(短語) 。
—Would you mind my opening the door?你介意我打開門嗎?
—Of course not. 當(dāng)然不介意。
(2) too...to...太……而不能……, too為副詞, 后跟形容詞或副詞原級, to 為動詞不定式符號, 后跟動詞原形。
The meat is too salty to eat. 這肉太咸了, 沒法吃。
【拓展】
too…to…結(jié)構(gòu)可以和so…that…及not…enough to…結(jié)構(gòu)轉(zhuǎn)換。
她太小了, 不能去上學(xué)。
She is too young to go to school.
She is so young that she can’t go to school.
She is not old enough to go to school.
7. I can just shut off my brain, sit back and enjoy watching an exciting superhero who always saves the world just in time. 我正好可以讓大腦休息, 悠閑地坐著, 享受觀看一個總是及時拯救世界的令人激動的超級英雄的樂趣。
(1) shut 動詞, 意為“關(guān)閉; 關(guān)上”。
shut off 關(guān)閉; 停止運轉(zhuǎn)
Shut off the Internet. 斷開網(wǎng)絡(luò)。
(2) enjoy doing sth. 喜歡做某事
He enjoys climbing the mountains in the morning. 他喜歡在早上爬山。
(3) in time 及時

What will you do, if you are not there?in time, and the event started on time? 如果你沒有及時趕到現(xiàn)場, 而且活動按時開始, 你會怎么做?
8. Once in a while, I like to watch movies that are scary. 偶爾, 我喜歡看恐怖電影。
once in a while 意為“偶爾地; 間或”, 相當(dāng)于sometimes 或at times, 在句中作狀語, 一般放在句首或句末。
Once in a while, I speak to my friends in English.
有時, 我用英語和我的朋友說話。
He went to see them once in a while.
他偶爾去探望他們。

—What kind of movies do you like?
—I prefer movies that/which give me something to think about.
(4)“卡門喜歡哪類音樂家?”“她喜歡可以演奏不同類型音樂的音樂家?!?br /> —What kind of musicians does Carmen like?
—She likes musicians who play different kinds of music.
2. Grammar
定語從句
定義: 定語從句是指在復(fù)合句中作定語的從句, 定語從句所修飾的詞叫先行詞。定語從句通常放在先行詞的后面, 由關(guān)系代詞或關(guān)系副詞引導(dǎo)。我們將學(xué)習(xí)由關(guān)系代詞that、which、who等引導(dǎo)的定語從句。

怎樣選擇定語從句的關(guān)系詞:
(1)看先行詞。
先行詞指人時, 關(guān)系代詞用who, that, whom, whose; 先行詞指物時, 關(guān)系代詞用which或that。
(2)確定關(guān)系詞在從句中的成分。

注意: 關(guān)系代詞跟在先行詞之后, 定語從句的謂語動詞要與先行詞在數(shù)上一致。
定語從句中選用that和which的區(qū)別:
(1)在定語從句中, that和which兩者都可以指物, ??梢曰Q。關(guān)系代詞常用that的情況。
①當(dāng)先行詞是all, much, little, few, anything, everything, nothing, none等不定代詞時;
Do you have everything that you need?
你需要的東西都有了嗎?
②當(dāng)先行詞被the only, the last, the very等修飾時;
This is the only example that I know.
我知道的例子只有這一個。
③當(dāng)先行詞是序數(shù)詞或被序數(shù)詞、最高級修飾時;
This is the best dictionary that I’ve ever used. 這是我用過的最好的詞典。
④當(dāng)先行詞既有人又有物時;
They talked about the persons and things that most impressed them.
他們談?wù)摿耸顾麄冇∠笞钌畹娜撕褪隆?br /> ⑤當(dāng)主語是以who或which開頭的特殊疑問句時。
Which is the course that we are to take?我們選哪門課程?
(2)關(guān)系代詞常用which的情況。
①引導(dǎo)非限制性定語從句時, 通常要用which;
He has to work on Sundays, which he doesn’t like.
他得在星期天工作, 他不喜歡這樣。
②直接放在介詞后作賓語時, 通常要用which;
This is the house in which they lived last year.
這是他們?nèi)ツ曜∵^的房子。
③先行詞本身是that, those時, 通常用which。
What’s that which was put in the box?
放在盒子里的那個東西是什么?
