Period Five　Writing—Writing an ending to a story 本單元的寫(xiě)作任務(wù)是讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)。讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)要求在閱讀完一篇350詞左右的還未寫(xiě)完的文章之后，根據(jù)要求和提示把這篇文章未寫(xiě)完部分補(bǔ)充完整。續(xù)寫(xiě)短文多以記敘故事類(lèi)文章或夾敘夾議類(lèi)文章為主，線索邏輯強(qiáng)，故事經(jīng)常曲折跌宕。要求讀寫(xiě)并重，閱讀需要精確理解，續(xù)寫(xiě)需要大膽推斷但不能偏離主題。續(xù)寫(xiě)步驟如下：1.精讀全文，確定線索。精讀全文首先要解決好五個(gè)W和一個(gè)H的問(wèn)題，即理清人物who、地點(diǎn)where、時(shí)間when、事件what、原因why及怎樣發(fā)展how，然后根據(jù)關(guān)鍵詞理清故事發(fā)展的線索。2.構(gòu)思情節(jié)，謀篇布局。以原文結(jié)尾為起點(diǎn)，分析兩段所給出的首句開(kāi)頭，按照原文中事件發(fā)生的邏輯性，得出各段的主旨大意，構(gòu)思好情節(jié)發(fā)展，預(yù)測(cè)故事的結(jié)局，發(fā)展須符合情節(jié)內(nèi)在的邏輯。3.理清邏輯，優(yōu)化語(yǔ)言。結(jié)合文中劃線的關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ)擬寫(xiě)草稿，展開(kāi)豐富的聯(lián)想和想象，緊緊圍繞主題，按照情節(jié)的發(fā)展進(jìn)行延續(xù)，寫(xiě)作手法上必須以記敘為主，描寫(xiě)上以動(dòng)作描寫(xiě)為重心，情節(jié)的發(fā)展要合乎邏輯地推進(jìn)。所續(xù)寫(xiě)的內(nèi)容在主題、人物、線索及語(yǔ)言風(fēng)格上要與原文保持一致，表現(xiàn)為上下文銜接自然，前后情節(jié)互相照應(yīng)。1.When it comes to...2.People seem to fail to take account of the fact that...3.There is no denying the fact that...4.In fact，we have to admit the fact that...5.A large number of people tend to...6.It is commonly thought that...7.Thrilled at the news，he/she couldn’t say a word.8.He/She stood silently，tears rolling down his/her cheeks.9.Time seemed to stand still.10.The thought of fear crossed his/her mind. 閱讀下面短文，根據(jù)所給情節(jié)進(jìn)行續(xù)寫(xiě)，使之構(gòu)成一個(gè)完整的故事。On a bright，warm July afternoon，Mac Hollan，a primary school teacher，was cycling from his home to Alaska with his friends.One of his friends had stopped to make a bicycle repair，but they had encouraged Mac to carry on，and they would catch up with him soon.As Mac pedalled(騎行) along alone，he thought fondly of his wife and two young daughters at home.He hoped to show them this beautiful place someday.Then Mac heard quick and loud breathing behind him.“Man，that’s a big dog！” he thought.But when he looked to the side，he saw instantly that it wasn’t a dog at all，but a wolf，quickly catching up with him.Mac’s heart jumped.He found out his can of bear spray.With one hand on the bars，he fired the spray at the wolf.A bright red cloud enveloped the animal，and to Mac’s relief，it fell back，shaking its head.But a minute later，it was by his side again.Then it attacked the back of Mac’s bike，tearing open his tent bag.He fired at the wolf a second time，and again，it fell back only to quickly restart the chase(追趕).Mac was pedalling hard now.He waved and yelled at passing cars but was careful not to slow down.He saw a steep uphill climb before him.He knew that once he hit the hill，he’d be easily caught up and the wolf’s teeth would be tearing into his flesh.At this moment，Paul and Becky were driving their car on their way to Alaska.They didn’t think much of it when they saw two cyclists repairing their bike on the side of the road.A bit later，they spotted what they，too，assumed was a dog running alongside a man on a bike.As they got closer，they realized that the dog was a wolf.Mac heard a large vehicle behind him.He pulled in front of it as the wolf was catching up fast，just a dozen yards away now.注意：1.所續(xù)寫(xiě)短文的詞數(shù)應(yīng)為150左右；2.至少使用5個(gè)短文中標(biāo)有下劃線的關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ)；3.續(xù)寫(xiě)部分分為兩段，每段的開(kāi)頭語(yǔ)已為你寫(xiě)好；4.續(xù)寫(xiě)完成后，請(qǐng)用下劃線標(biāo)出你所使用的關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ)。Paragraph 1： The car abruptly stopped in front of him. Paragraph 2： A few minutes later，the other two cyclists arrived. 審題本題要求完成讀后續(xù)寫(xiě)任務(wù)，寫(xiě)作時(shí)應(yīng)注意下面幾點(diǎn)：1.精讀全文，確定線索。文章的大意是Mac與好友一起騎車(chē)去阿拉斯加，路上同伴因修自行車(chē)而落后，Mac獨(dú)自一人前行，遇到狼的突襲，進(jìn)行了一番搏斗，幸虧此時(shí)Paul和Becky兩人開(kāi)車(chē)經(jīng)過(guò)，出手相救。2.構(gòu)思情節(jié)，謀篇布局。利用好兩方面的信息：(1)十個(gè)標(biāo)有下劃線的關(guān)鍵詞語(yǔ)；(2)續(xù)寫(xiě)部分所給的兩段的首句。時(shí)間的先后、情節(jié)的發(fā)展都要以這兩句話作為內(nèi)在邏輯。3.主體時(shí)態(tài)：一般過(guò)去時(shí)。4.主體人稱(chēng)：第三人稱(chēng)。謀篇第一段：圍繞Paul和Becky如何救Mac展開(kāi)；第二段：著重描寫(xiě)朋友到達(dá)后所發(fā)生的事情以及問(wèn)題的解決；兩個(gè)朋友的到達(dá)可以是在Mac，Paul和Becky驅(qū)趕狼之后，也可以是一同加入與狼的作戰(zhàn)。必備詞匯1.向某人揮手wave at sb.2.爬進(jìn)車(chē)?yán)?/span>climb into the car3.開(kāi)車(chē)離開(kāi)drive off4.感覺(jué)松了一口氣feel relieved關(guān)鍵句式1.他們看到追過(guò)來(lái)的狼就要撲上來(lái)了。They saw that the wolf charging towards them was about to attack.2.他們迅速地幫助Mac爬進(jìn)車(chē)?yán)?/span>，然后他們沖回到前排座位上，鎖上車(chē)門(mén)。They quickly helped Mac climb into the car，and then they rushed back into their front seats and locked the doors.3.狼一直在車(chē)外朝他們嚎叫，但卻進(jìn)不去。The wolf kept growling at them from outside the car but was unable to enter.[句式升級(jí)]1.運(yùn)用定語(yǔ)從句改寫(xiě)句1。They saw that the wolf which/that was charging towards them was about to attack.2.運(yùn)用分詞作狀語(yǔ)改寫(xiě)句2。They quickly helped Mac climb into the car and then rushed back into their front seats，locking the doors.3.運(yùn)用形容詞短語(yǔ)作狀語(yǔ)改寫(xiě)句3。The wolf kept growling at them from outside the car，unable to enter. 用適當(dāng)?shù)倪^(guò)渡詞語(yǔ)，把以上詞匯和句式，再加上聯(lián)想內(nèi)容，組成一篇100詞左右的英語(yǔ)短文。參考范文The car abruptly stopped in front of him.Mac rushed down from his bicycle and frantically waved at the passengers inside the car for help.The young couple inside the car jumped out to help him.They saw that the wolf charging towards them was about to attack.They quickly helped Mac climb into the car and then rushed back into their front seats，locking the doors.The wolf kept growling at them from outside the car，unable to enter.A few minutes later，the other two cyclists arrived.By this time，the wolf had already left.Mac’s friends then helped him get out of the car.Mac and his friends thanked the couple in the car as they drove off.Then Mac got back on his bicycle and pedaled back home with his friends. After his terrifying adventure，Mac felt relieved when he reached home safe to his loving family.
