Key vocabulary:  human, dangerous, already, factory, Japan, believe, disagree, even, agree, shape, fall, insidepossible, impossible, side...  help with the housework, over and over again, the same... as, be able to, wake up, disagree with, hundreds of, for example, fall down, look for...2. Key sentences:a. They help with the housework and do jobs like working in dirty or dangerous places. b. Fewer people will do such jobs in the future because they are boring, but robots will never get bored. c. Scientists are now trying to make robots look like humans and do the same things as we do.d. Work on 2a. Read the instruction in 2a.Tell your partner what you know about robots.What do they look like and what can they do?Make Ss answer the questions and describe the robots looks and their abilities.Call some Ss to say something about their prediction.設(shè)計(jì)了幾幅關(guān)于機(jī)器人的圖片,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,意欲了解文章中關(guān)于機(jī)器人的預(yù)言。Step 2Pre-reading(PPT 20-24) Fast reading 1. Read the instructions to the class. Give Ss 5 minutes to read the passage, tick out the new words. Ask Ss to put a mark in contents that are unfamiliar to them. 2. Ss match each paragraph with the question it discusses.3. Check the answers.4. Reading practice.通讀全文后,找出每一段的中心思想。 Step 3While-reading(PPT 25-29)Careful reading. Ask Ss to read the passage carefully, then answer the questions. Check answers in class.2. Work on 2c. Make Ss read the article again quickly. Before that, Ss look through the four sentences. Skip it when meeting a blank line.Ss complete the task individually.Choose 1 or 2 Ss to present the answers.Check the answers. Practice reading.3. Work on 2d. Call Ss' attention to 2d. Look at the picture and scan the passage for the main idea.Fill in the blanks in this paragraph with words from the article in 2b. Choose 2 or 3 Ss to give the answers. Check the answers together.本部分是課文細(xì)讀部分。閱讀之后回答問題、完成填空。通過問題設(shè)計(jì),讓學(xué)生帶著問題閱讀,使他們學(xué)會(huì)提取文章的重要信息。Step 4Post-reading(PPT 30)Work on 2e. 1. Choose a student to read the instructions to the class.2. Pair-work. Discuss with your partner about the following questions:What kinds of animals might robots look like in the future?What do you think these robots will be able to do?Write down your ideas in the chart.3. Choose 2 or 3 Ss to read their answers out.4. Make short comments on what the Ss wrote. 根據(jù)自己的想象力,設(shè)計(jì)一個(gè)機(jī)器人,設(shè)計(jì)機(jī)器人能干的事情,以此訓(xùn)練學(xué)生們想象能力。Step 5Language points (PPT 31-42)1. Explain the usage of the following:get bored, be able to, disagree with, fall down, keep a bird 2. Ask Ss to read the language points so that they can understand the language points deeply. 通過舉例、對(duì)比等方式講解知識(shí)點(diǎn),使學(xué)生加深對(duì)等單詞用法和結(jié)構(gòu)的理解。Step 6Exercises(PPT 43-48)1. Practice the language points by these exercises.2. Read the sentences. 通過首字母、單選、詞形填空、漢譯英等形式練習(xí)所學(xué)的語言點(diǎn)。Step 7Homework (PPT 49)1. Go over the article on Page 53. Practice reading it.2. Write your own sentences with the phrases below.  over and over again, get bored, wake up, hundreds of, be able to, fall down, look for, seem impossible.  設(shè)計(jì)該作業(yè)主要使學(xué)生們鞏固所學(xué)的詞匯,由閱讀輸出寫短文。板書設(shè)計(jì)Unit 7 Will people have robots?Section B( 2a-2e)1.
