When we use a cnditinal sentence t talk abut smething that will certainly happen, bth verbs shuld be in (the simple present tense/the simple future tense).

如何使用if ... nt和unless
unless作“除非”解時(shí)相當(dāng)于if ... nt，其引導(dǎo)的條件狀語(yǔ)從句與if引導(dǎo)的條件狀語(yǔ)從句用法一樣，unless與if ... nt 常常可以互換使用。例如：如果你不努力學(xué)習(xí)，你就會(huì)考試不及格。If yu dn’t study hard, yu will nt pass the exam.= Unless yu study hard, yu will nt pass the exam.如果你不努力工作，你就不會(huì)得到高薪。If yu dn’t wrk hard, yu will nt get high salary.= Unless yu wrk hard, yu will nt get high salary.

The wrd unless can mean if ... nt. Fr example, the tw sentences belw have the same meaning:
