【導語】本文以人物為線索展開，講述了作者坐公交時遇到了一個就車費和司機發(fā)生爭執(zhí)的19歲女孩，女孩堅稱自己付過了車費，而司機則說沒有付錢。司機似乎要把她扔下公共汽車。這時一個老婦人拿出自己全部的錢來為女孩付了車費，最后作者和其他人被感動，反過來幫助了老婦人。
Suddenly, a messy grey-haired wman with a weathered face std up. Dressed in a ragged shirt and faded trusers, she lked in need herself. She stepped frward and std directly in frnt f the driver. Withut asking any questins, she didn’t dubt the girl as I had. “This is fr her,” she said, hlding ut frty dllars and pinting t the girl. Surprised, the bus driver ndded, and tk the mney. The yung girl thanked her fr her kind ffer.
At the next rest stp, I nticed that wman had n mney fr fd. Appraching her, I said, “That was a really kind thing yu did fr that girl. Here, I want t share what yu paid.” When I gave her the nte, she lked at me with gratitude, saying that was her last frty dllars! When I was shcked by her act f kindness, a cuple f thers came t surrund her with their mney. Actually, her frty dllars made a great difference!
