Three very strng wmen — my mther, my grandmther and Melinda — deserve big credit fr helping me becme the man I am tday. But Blanche Caffiere, a very kind teacher and librarian I’ve never written abut befre, als had a huge influence n me.

Architects have lng had the feeling that the places we live in can affect ur thughts, feelings and behavirs. But nw scientists are giving this feeling an empirical (實(shí)證的) basis. They are discvering hw t design space that prmtes creativity, keeps peple fcused and leads t relaxatin.
