I. Curse Overview
This 45-minute high schl listening lessn is designed t explre languages arund the wrld. As a fundamental curse in the field f signal and systems, it aims t prvide students with a slid fundatin in language learning and prepare them fr graduate entrance exams. The lessn will be cnducted entirely in English t enhance students' listening cmprehensin and prmte crss-cultural cmmunicatin skills.
II. Teaching Objectives and Requirements
1. Students shuld be able t understand and fllw basic cnversatin in English.
2. Students shuld be able t recgnize and use cmmn vcabulary related t language learning.
3. Students shuld be able t express their pinins n the imprtance f learning different languages.
III. Curriculum Cntent (10 minutes)
A. Intrductin (1 minute)
- Intrduce the tpic f explring languages arund the wrld.
- Ask students if they have ever traveled r studied abrad.
- Share sme examples f ppular freign languages and cultures.
B. Vcabulary (3 minutes)
- Discuss cmmn vcabulary related t language learning, such as "language," "dialect," "freign," "culture," etc.
- Use flashcards r visual aids t help students memrize new wrds.
C. Cnversatin (3 minutes)
- Prvide a shrt cnversatin between tw peple speaking different languages (e.g., English and Spanish).
- Ask students t listen carefully and try t identify the languages being spken.
- Encurage students t ask questins r make cmments if they are cnfused abut any part f the cnversatin.
IV. Teaching Strategies and Methds (8 minutes)
1. Use real-life examples t illustrate the imprtance f learning different languages.
2. Use visual aids, such as pictures r vides, t help students understand cmplex cncepts.
3. Encurage active participatin frm students thrugh discussins, debates, r grup activities.
4. Prvide timely feedback and crrectin t help students imprve their listening skills.

- Ask students t think abut a situatin where they might need t cmmunicate with smene wh speaks a different language, such as rdering fd in a restaurant r asking fr directins.
- Write dwn sme pssible prblems that culd arise in this scenari and discuss them as a class.
B. Cntent Theme (2 minutes)
- Discuss the benefits f learning different languages, such as expanding cultural understanding, imprving jb prspects, and enhancing travel experiences.
- Use visual aids, such as charts r graphs, t illustrate these pints.
C. Teacher's Activities (2 minutes)
- Read alud a shrt passage in English abut the imprtance f learning different languages.
- Ask students t listen carefully and summarize the main pints f the passage in their wn wrds.
D. Student's Activities (3 minutes)
- Play a recrded cnversatin between tw peple speaking different languages (e.g., English and Mandarin).
- Ask students t listen carefully and identify the languages being spken by nting the accents r dialects.
- Encurage students t discuss their bservatins and share any interesting insights they gained frm the cnversatin.
E. Hmewrk Questins (1 minute)
- Ask students t write dwn three advantages f learning different languages and ne disadvantage, using cmplete sentences and prper grammar. They can share their answers in class the next day.
VI. Assessment and Reflectin (1 minute)
Assess students' cmprehensin by asking questins related t the cnversatin and vcabulary cvered during the lessn. Prvide feedback n their respnses and encurage them t cntinue practicing their listening skills utside f class. Reflect n the effectiveness f the teaching strategies used and cnsider adjusting them based n student feedback r future lessns.
