選擇性必修三 Unit 1 Reading and Thinking課 題UNIT 1  ARTPeriod 1 Reading and Thinking學 科英語班 級 授課教師 教 學目 標By the end of this section, students will be able to:read about the history of Western painting and some famous artists;get information about differences in Western painting styles throughout history by making a flow chart;identify some words, phrases and sentences about change;express their opinions on appreciating artworks.教 學主 題該板塊的主題是“學習西方繪畫藝術的不同風格（Learn about different painting styles in Western art）”。該板塊引導學生通過閱讀西方繪畫簡史的知識性小品文，了解西方繪畫藝術歷史，把握不同歷史時期西方繪畫作品的特色，通過分享和交流各自欣賞的西方繪畫風格，思考和挖掘藝術的意義和價值。教 學重 點引導學生熟悉并掌握該部分的話題詞匯；引導學生通過閱讀獲取文章的主旨大意、組織結(jié)構和體裁風格；3. 引導學生通過閱讀了解西方繪畫藝術的發(fā)展歷史，并通過細讀文本，提煉和總結(jié)西方繪畫藝術歷史及各時期繪畫作品的顯著特點。教 學難 點1. 識別語篇中有關“變化”的各種顯性和隱性的描述語言，積累相關表達方式；2. 根據(jù)文本信息挖掘影響和推動西方繪畫藝術變化發(fā)展的多重因素，拓展知識的深度和廣度；3. 結(jié)合不同時期西方繪畫藝術的風格特點，對不同的繪畫作品進行分析，辨別其創(chuàng)作時期和創(chuàng)作風格。 教學內(nèi)容與過程Lead-inTask 1: Look and discuss引導學生根據(jù)單元標題和主題圖了解單元主題。? What do you know about the painting School of Athens? Do you know who painted it?? What can you see in the painting? Who are these people? What are they doing?? What does the painting make you think about and how does it make you feel?? Why do you think the painter created this work of art? What idea did the painter want to convey? Task 2: Discuss the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson教師引導學生討論愛默生的名言“Love of beauty is taste. The creation of beauty is art.”并進一步表達自己對藝術的理解。? Why do you think people create art and what do they want to convey to their audience?
? In your opinion, what is true art? Step 1 Pre-readingTask: Discussion引導學生觀察本部分展示的兩幅繪畫作品，發(fā)表自己對于畫作的不同看法，然后鼓勵學生根據(jù)畫作的風格特點猜測其創(chuàng)作時期，以激活學生的已有知識，激發(fā)學生的學習興趣，使他們形成閱讀期待，為后續(xù)的閱讀活動作鋪墊。? Why? Step 2 While-readingTask 1: Global reading引導學生快速瀏覽文本標題、首段和文中的小標題，獲取文章的主旨大意，通過畫結(jié)構圖來展示文本的組織結(jié)構。Task 2: Detailed reading引導學生仔細閱讀文本，獲取文本細節(jié)信息，根據(jù)以下表格欄目總結(jié)不同時期西方繪畫作品的風格特點及代表人物，完成教材第三頁活動2的流程圖。（1）按照以下表格欄目總結(jié)不同時期西方繪畫作品的風格特點及代表人物：PeriodTimeCharacteristics of the paintingsFamous painters and their achievementsThe Middle Ages5th to 15th century? religious themes? ____________________ and two-dimensionalGiotto di BondoneHis paintings showed real people in a real environment.             （2）完成教材第三頁活動2的流程圖。 Step 3 Post-reading引導學生從閱讀文本中找出表達“變化”的單詞、詞塊和句子，首先進行分類總結(jié)，然后進一步挖掘文本深層信息，歸納造成西方繪畫藝術發(fā)展變化的因素。Task 1: Present and sort out the words and expressions that indicate “change”.讓學生展示自己所找到的與“變化”相關的表達方式，并對它們進行分類梳理和歸納。Task 2: Do evidence-based reading to find out the factors/reasons.讓學生在了解“什么變了”的基礎上，進一步思考“為什么變”，深入挖掘西方繪畫藝術風格不斷變化的因素并進行梳理。1. Read the words and expressions indicating “change”. Discuss the following questions in groups.? Why have Western painting styles been changing?? What are the factors that have influenced the changes in Western painting styles? Give your reasons.2. Make a list of the factors that made the changes in Western painting styles.List of factors: religion; the uses of art; the artists’ attitude or understanding about art; new ideas and values; new techniques; new tools; inventions; outstanding artists ...3. Share your opinions with the class. Step 4 Homework1. Practise the words and expressions learned in this class.2. Finish Activity 3 on Page 3.3.
