Psitive and negative imperatives
Add 3 and 9.
Divide 9 by 3.

We use imperatives t give instructins, rders r advice.
Generally, we use imperatives nly with peple the same age as us r yunger.

We d nt use imperatives when speaking t peple lder than us except in the fllwing situatins:
emergencies ‘I’m bleeding! Call an ambulance!’cheering ‘G Dad! Make a gal!’sme requests ‘Mum, help me, please.’

There are psitive and negative imperatives.
Negative imperatives

Please dn’t be late again!
Use the base frm f verbs in psitive imperatives. Add dn’t befre the base frm f verbs in negative imperatives, e.g., Give/Dn’t give me yur hmewrk, Ben.We may add please befre the base frm f verbs, e.g., Please turn ff/dn’t turn ff yur mbile phnes.We need t add be befre adjectives when we use them as imperatives, e.g., Be/Dn’t be quiet, girls!
