3. 時間狀語詞: at 5:00 yesterday afternn, at that time, then 等連用, 或者用另一動作來表示過去的時間。如:
They were playing basketball when she arrived.
While they were playing basketball, she arrived.
過去進行時與一般過去時的區(qū)別
過去進行時著重描述當時正在持續(xù)進行的動作,它的特點是:暫時,持續(xù)和未完成,強調過程;一般過去時表示發(fā)生過的動作或存在的狀態(tài),即表示動作發(fā)生過,而且已經(jīng)結束了,強調結果。

當此句改變主從句的位置時,則為:
While we were talking, the teacher came in.
2. 如果從句和主句的動作同時發(fā)生,兩句都用過去進行時的時候,多用while引導。如:
