Helping him put on the coat, I told him there was a shelter nearby where he could ask for help. I asked him to promise me he would do it.
At about 6 o’clock, I got home. Seeing my daughter arrive safely and get ready for bed, I rested my heavy body on the sofa wondering about the guy at the gas station. So I made a call to the shelter and told the nice girl on the phone that there was a guy out in the cold. Told that they had one or two beds left, I quickly got into my car and drove to the gas station.

After the kickball, Steven sat as closer to Mr. Rowe in classes as he could. When a question was asked, Steven lit up; he knew the answer! He raised his hands. When he answered the question, his voice shook. However, he got the answer right! He said, with Mr. Rowe , his days of the fourth grade promised wonderful.
That is not to say that every day went smoothly, but it was evident that Steven grew to love Mr. Rowe more and more with each passing day.

I am a frequent interstate traveler. I was born in Ontario, Canada and thus all my family except my husband and children live there. So three times a year I make a trip north from Georgia to visit. I often travel by myself as my children are all grown and my husband is working.
Two years ago I went up in the spring and brought one of my sisters south for a month to take away the pains of a long winter. This year I did the same. It is interesting that many of my friends have said "Aren't you scared?" or "What if you break down?”. I always respond that I have a lot of faith in the Lord and in myself. My husband is a mechanic and each year gives my 230,000+ miles car a good checkup. He will come for me if I need help.
Here is how my miracle happened on Interstate 85 North in South Carolina. Heading north to take my sweet sister of 63 home to Canada, we were chatting away and I was driving 70 miles per hour in the third lane over. Yes, the fastest lane. All of a sudden, I started to lose power. I said anxiously I was losing power and got over to the next and then the right lane, I was driving at about 40 miles per hour when I got to the first exit. I finally arrived at a Citgo station and pulled off the road.
I immediately called my husband and he didn't answer. I was thinking he never answered his phone. I called 2 more times saying please answer the phone to myself. I was getting pretty upset thinking what I should do. I got out of the car and looked under it and smelled gas. Then* I checked the oil and water. Luckily, both were good! My sister went into the gas station and said to the clerk if he knew anyone who could help us and then said pray for us as she made her way to the rest room.

I kept silent for a moment. Not long after we continued our driving, I spoke again, “Did you leave

appreciate them makes me feel good,which is enough of a thank you for me.”
Suddenly, still thinking about Mom's deeds, I heard something burst loudly. It was our car that broke down! Nothing could be worse, because neither my mom nor I understood how to repair it, and we didn't know where the garage was. It also seemed impossible to wait for any passer-by, since we had seen so few along the way.

Unless a miracle happened, I would be homeless in January, foodless and jobless. I had?prayed steadily for weeks, and there had been no answer but this coldness and darkness.
The air was full of Christmas merriment, with the bells ringing and children shouting in?the bitter dusk of the evening. But there should be no Christmas for me, I knew, no gifts,no?remembrance whatsoever.
Thinking of this, I couldn't control my tears on my way home, but I managed a smile so?I could greet my little daughter. She opened the door for me and threw herself in my arms,?screaming joyously and demanding desirably for her Christmas gift. There I stood, frozen?overwhelmed by misery.
