Dr Qi Juntng, a researcher at Chinese Academy f Sciences, said, “The mst imprtant feature f this flying rbt is that it desn’t need a distant cntrl. We just set the destinatin infrmatin n it, and then it takes ff, and lands by itself. It flies as high as 3, 000 metres, and as fast as 100 kilmetres per hur.”
This rbt has a different functin—it can change as the envirnment changes. Its main jb is t search fr any signs f life in places where human rescuers are unable t g. As well as a detectr（探測(cè)器）that finds victims and detects pisnus gases, a camera is placed in the 3-metre-lng rbt, which can wrk in the dark. Anther use fr the rescuers is the supply bt. With its 10-metre-lng pipe, peple wh are trapped in the ruins will be able t get supplies including xygen and liquids.
Experts have said that the rbts wuld enter prductin and serve as part f the natinal earthquake rescue team as sn as pssible.
