The idea that the nrmal human bdy temperature is abut 37℃was first presented by the German physician Carl Reinhld August Wunderlich in 1851. Since then, it’s becme s widely accepted that it serves as a tuchstne fr health---a diagnstic tl used by physicians and parents as a basic indicatr f whether smene is sick r well. Hwever, it turns ut that this well-established fact isn’t, in fact, crrect—r, t put it mre accurately, human beings have been getting cler ver the years.
Recent studies have shwn that temperature recrds f grups f peple have tended t run lw cmpared t the accepted standard, s the Stanfrd team, led by Julie Par-snnet, MD, prfessr f medicine and f health research and plicy, decided t d a mre in-depth study t cmpare mdern measurements with histrical recrds t try t identify bdy temperature trends and, perhaps, uncver the reasn why this cling is happening.

As t why this is happening, the researchers say that the mst likely mechanism is a reductin in the human metablic rate(代謝率) due t envirnmental factrs: One pssibility is that imprvements in public health ver 200 years have reduced the incidence f inflammatins(炎癥), which prmte metablism. This cmbined with peple living mre cmfrtable lives in mre stable envirnments means that the bdy desn’t have t wrk as hard t stay warm, s the average temperature falls.
“The envirnment that we’re living in has changed, including the temperature in ur hmes, ur cntact with micrrganisms(微生物) and the fd that we have access t. D. He prpsed the standard human bdy temperature.
33. What can we learn abut the Stanfrd team’s study?

B. It prves human bdy temperature has drpped at an alarming rate.
C. It cmpared histrical and current human bdy temperature data.
D. It suggested updating the definitin f the average bdy temperature.
34. What leads t the decrease in human bdy temperature?

21—23 ACD
由第一個(gè)項(xiàng)目對(duì)應(yīng)段落第三句中的“make the lives f under-served K-12 kids and their families easier”可知,Learn T Be的援助對(duì)象是資源匱乏身為幼兒園孩子到12年級(jí)學(xué)生。
由第一段的“The Scrantn lace factry clsed in 2002”以及“rent 32 luxury apartments built inside the factry’s riginal walls”可對(duì)應(yīng)C選項(xiàng)中的“transfrmed int a rental building”,故選C。
從第三段中的“searching fr luxury withut cmmitment”以及第四段中的“all the advantages that cme with hmewnership(私房屋主) withut the burden f hmewnership”可推斷,人們之所以選擇租房,是因?yàn)榭梢栽诓怀惺苜I房負(fù)擔(dān)的同時(shí)享受自購房一般的生活質(zhì)量,故選D。
劃線短語在第五段,New subdivisins(住宅區(qū)) full f single family hmes fr rent—all but nnexistent a decade ag,從破折號(hào)后面的插入語可知這些新型的住宅區(qū)在過去10年里幾乎是不存在的,因而“…are springing up frm cast t cast”表明它們現(xiàn)在“開始存在”,該詞組也與“nnexistent”形成對(duì)比,故選A。

根據(jù)第二段中的“Recent studies have shwn that temperature recrds f grups f peple have tended t run lw cmpared t the accepted standard, s the Stanfrd team, led by Julie Par-snnet, MD, prfessr f medicine and f health research and plicy, decided t d a mre in-depth study t cmpare mdern measurements with histrical recrds t try t identify bdy temperature trends and, perhaps, uncver the reasn why this cling is happening.(最近的研究表明,與公認(rèn)的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)相比,人群的體溫記錄往往較低,因此,由醫(yī)學(xué)、健康研究與政策教授Julie Par snnet醫(yī)學(xué)博士領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的斯坦福大學(xué)團(tuán)隊(duì)決定進(jìn)行一項(xiàng)更深入的研究,將現(xiàn)代測(cè)量值與歷史記錄進(jìn)行比較,試圖確定體溫趨勢(shì),揭示這種冷卻現(xiàn)象發(fā)生的原因。)”
根據(jù)第四段中的“One pssibility is that imprvements in public health ver 200 years have reduced the incidence f inflammatins(炎癥), which prmte metablism. This cmbined with peple living mre cmfrtable lives in mre stable envirnments means that the bdy desn’t have t wrk as hard t stay warm, s the average temperature falls.(一種可能性是,200多年來公共衛(wèi)生的改善降低了炎癥的發(fā)生率,炎癥可以促進(jìn)新陳代謝。
由第一段“The idea that the nrmal human bdy temperature is abut 37℃was first presented by the German physician Carl Reinhld August Wunderlich in 1851. Since then, it’s becme s widely accepted that it serves as a tuchstne fr health—a diagnstic tl used by physicians and parents as a basic indicatr f whether smene is sick r well. 36—40 BADCG
Accrding t psychlgists, this idea f temprarily switching persnalities is called “masking”.

be decrated with是固定搭配,意思是“被……
分析句子結(jié)構(gòu)可知,此處為定語從句,先行詞是dense frests,關(guān)系詞充當(dāng)了后面從句there are lts f trees and bushes的地點(diǎn)狀語,所以用關(guān)系副詞where來引導(dǎo)。
分析句子結(jié)構(gòu)可知,在句子“They will als eat small insects and invertebrates”中,insect與 invertebrates一樣,充當(dāng)eat的賓語,應(yīng)該用可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式。
