As yu can see frm the signs, this was Medbury’s ld cheese market. Peple used t bring cheese and butter and things here t sell, but since 1970 we’ve had the supermarkets f curse, s this has been a craft market since 1982. If yu want t take presents hme, there are plenty f things t chse frm like these hand-painted T- shirts r thse traditinal baskets. This twn was well-knwn fr its leather gds, especially shes. That lng building ver there was the factry where they were made. It’s becme a museum because mst f the shes we buy nw are made abrad. If yu need t change sme mney befre yu g shpping, yu’ll find a bank ver there beside the cinema. If that ne’s busy there’s anther ne but it’s a few minutes’ walk-it’s ppsite the park. We’ll meet at 4:30. We’re taking the cach back t Lndn tday as we want t visit smewhere else n the way back, but if yu cme here again frm Lndn, the quickest way is by train.
