定義： 表示過去某個(gè)時(shí)刻或某一時(shí)間段正在進(jìn)行或正在發(fā) 生的動(dòng)作。
時(shí)間標(biāo)志詞： then，at this/that time， at this time f，at that mment，at this/that time yesterday, at 9:00 yesterday mrning，at nine last night，all the mrning, all night，frm10:00 t12:00 yesterday，the whle afternn等； 或以when, while 引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語從句。
構(gòu)成： 基本結(jié)構(gòu)：主語+was/were + V-ing +其他。 否定形式：主語+wasn’t/weren’t +V-ing+其他。 一般疑問句：Was/Were+主語+V-ing+其他？ 肯定回答：Yes, 主語+was/were. 否定回答：N, 主語+wasn’t/weren’t. 特殊疑問句：特殊疑問詞+ was/were +主語+V-ing+其他？
過去進(jìn)行時(shí)和一般過去時(shí)的區(qū)別
1) 過去進(jìn)行時(shí)表示過去某個(gè)時(shí)刻或某一時(shí)間段正在進(jìn)行或正在發(fā)生的動(dòng)作，而一般過去時(shí)則表示過去發(fā)生的動(dòng)作或存在的狀態(tài)多指一個(gè)完整的，已經(jīng)完成的動(dòng)作。
2) 當(dāng)動(dòng)作延續(xù)較長時(shí)間時(shí)或表示厭煩、贊美等感情色彩時(shí), 常用過去進(jìn)行時(shí)表示。
含義: 表示過去某個(gè)時(shí)刻 正在進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作。結(jié)構(gòu)： was/were + ding
含義: 表示現(xiàn)在正在進(jìn)行 的動(dòng)作。結(jié)構(gòu)： is/am/are + ding
when 和 while 用法小結(jié)
相同點(diǎn)： when 和 while 都可以作從屬連詞。 引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語從句。 都有“當(dāng)……的時(shí)候”的意思。
指時(shí)間段，也可以指時(shí)間點(diǎn)
可以是延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞，也可以是非延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞
延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞：wait, watch, sing, read, sleep, stay, wrk, stand, lie, knw, walk,keep, live...非延續(xù)性動(dòng)詞：cme, g, mve, brrw, lend, arrive, pen, die, clse, begin, finish,buy...
有時(shí)when可以代替while，而while則不能代替when。
when引導(dǎo)的時(shí)間狀語從句中，從句的動(dòng)作和主句的動(dòng)作可以同時(shí)發(fā)生，也可以一前一后先后發(fā)生；while則強(qiáng)調(diào)主句和從句的動(dòng)作同時(shí)發(fā)生。
when后面通常接一般時(shí)態(tài)的從句，而while后接進(jìn)行時(shí)態(tài)的句子。
瑪麗在圖書館里讀書時(shí)，杰克正在操場(chǎng)上踢足球。 Mary was reading in the library while Jack was playing sccer n the playgrund.
