A. 回答問題。
請閱讀下面這篇文章,根據所提供的信息,回答5個問題。要求所寫答案語法正確、語義完整,并把答案寫在答題卡指定的位置上。
Jim Davidson said reading played a “very, very important role” in his children's lives as they were growing up. During his twenty years as a writer, the father of four became worried about illiteracy(文盲)in America and decided to do something about it. Davidson started “Bookcase for Every Child” project(項目)in his hometown of Conway, Arkansas, USA in 2005. The project provides low-income(低收入的)children with bookcases, and a starter set of books to encourage reading.
Davidson's project is different from other projects. Instead of raising money from the public, he gets many people personally to take part in the project.
“We decided to build 50 bookcases each year and give them to low-income children,” said Davidson. “I can promise you this is the nicest piece of furniture(家具)in most of these low-income children's homes.”
Today, the project has spread to eight communities(社區(qū))in five states. He said the project's early success belonged to the community members. “I knew a lot of people all over the community and was able to choose a group of people to do the job,” said Davidson. The group included members such as librarians and a workman.
Davidson's love for the project grew deeper after his wife died in May, 2013. For him, spreading the bookcase project all over the country is the best way to remember her. And he hopes to have at least one project in every state in his country.

A.回答問題。
請閱讀下面這篇文章,根據所提供的信息,回答5個問題。要求所寫答案語法正確、語義完整,并把答案寫在答題卡指定的位置上。
Chinese children are sometimes busier on weekends than weekdays because they have to take so many after-school classes. Many of them are learning exam skills so that they can get into a good high school and later a good university. Others are practicing sports so that they can compete and win.
However, this doesn’t only happen in China. The Bairds are a typical American family. Life for Cathy Baird’s three children is very busy. “On most days after school,” Cathy says, “I take one of my two boys to basketball practice and my daughter to football training. Then I have to take my other son to piano lessons. Maybe I could cut out a few of their activities, but I believe these activities are important for my children’s future. I really want them to be successful. However, the tired children don’t get home until after 7:00 p.m. They have a quick dinner, and then it’s time for homework”.
Linda Miller, a mother of two, knows all about such stress(壓力). She says. “Mothers send their small kids to all kinds of classes. And they are always comparing them with other children. It’s crazy. I don’t think that’s fair. Why don’t they just let their kids be kids?”
Doctors say too much stress is not good for a child’s development. “People shouldn’t push their kids so hard.” Dr. Alice Green says, “Kids should have time to relax and think for themselves.”

Exercise 3
(2022·廣東佛山·一模)
讀寫綜合。
A.回答問題。
請閱讀下面這篇文章,根據所提供的信息,回答5個問題。要求所寫答案語法正確、語義完整。
Many schools began to provide at least two hours of after-school services for students on weekdays in September, 2021. Instead of going to different subject-training classes outside school, students can stay at school to get after-school services including homework tutoring(輔導), sports and interesting activities. Students can choose one or two activities they like. After-school services not only make students learn better and live more healthily, but also make it easier for parents to pick up their children. More parents can pick up their children themselves instead of grandparents. In the past when schools closed at 4 pm, many parents were still at work and couldn’t collect their children. However, some parents expressed their worries. They really want to learn how they can help manage their children's study and life reasonably. Here are some tips.
◆Form good habits. Because of having more time, children are supposed to get into more good habits. Good habits can make all things easy.
◆Make plans. Making plans can help children manage their time better. Put aside their pleasures until their plans are finished.
◆Make full use of the time at school. Children should finish all their homework at school and solve all the problems in time. Don’t leave today’s work for tomorrow.
◆Help around the house or in the community. Proper housework at home and more volunteer jobs in the community can help children improve their sense of duty as well as their confidence.
◆Set a goal(目標). Without a goal, there is no clear direction; without direction, there is no life.

1.When did many schools begin to provide after-school services for students?

A.回答問題
請閱讀下面這篇文章,根據所提供的信息,回答5個問題。要求所寫答案語法正確、語義完整,并把答案寫在答題卡指定的位置。
Let’s imagine you are taking a walk along the road and you happen to see one or two waste bottles lying on the grass beside the road. What would you do?
You may have different choices. Firstly, you can leave the bottles there as they are. It was not you who threw them away. Why should you do something about it? This is quite OK. Secondly, you can pick them up and throw them into a dustbin. By doing this, you have walked a step further to help make our home clean. This action is a better choice. Thirdly, you might want to pick them up and give them to someone collects waste for a living. If this is your choice, you have walked even further. You are not only thinking about doing something for the environment, you’re also developing yourself to be a person who would think of others and help them.
As for young kids, they may always have such a question: “When do I grow up? Yes! When does a child grow up? And how can a kid know he or she has grown up? These are interesting questions. As for us, fifteen-year-old, who are finishing middle school, we’re no longer younger children. We should know whether or not we have grown up. When we start to have a sense of offering a helping hand for a cleaner city and greener world, and when we have a loving heart to think more of others than of ourselves and are ready to help them, we can say that we have grown up.
Remember: If we help others, others will help us. If we do our best for nature, nature will offer its best to us in return!
1.Where can you happen to see one or two waste bottles according to imagination?

More and more people in China are now sharing parts of their lives with people all over the world by videos on their phones. Some people send videos of personal events, like holidays and weddings, to other people.
Live streaming (直播) is especially popular among people aged 18 to 35. Besides leaving comments, they can also communicate directly with the hosts by buying gifts, such as flowers, toys and cars for them online. The latest example was the Olympic swimmer Fu Yuanhui. She did a one-hour live streaming, which attracted more than 11 million viewers.
What’s more, live streaming allows users to communicate with strangers and express themselves. A 19-year-old college student Nic Li often uses an app called Ingkee to do live streaming. She spends three to four hours each week talking and singing with viewers on the app. “Sometimes I feel lonely and want to talk to people, so I do live streaming,” she says, “I feel good when viewers are paying attention to me.”
However, there are worries about the misuse (濫用) of live streaming. Papi Jiang promised to correct her unsuitable and impolite language after she was warned by government officials. As there are more than 300 websites and 80 apps for live streaming in China, the Internet regulators can hardly monitor what’s going on all the time. “We support the use of live streaming. Our feelings influence almost every decision we make. Instead of living a boring life, positive feelings can help us a lot. The pity is that sometimes we become victims of feelings.
In one of my latest books, I compare people’s ability to controls(控制鍵) on a media player. Just like the controls can help you enjoy wonderful songs, these methods will be choices for you to manage feelings successfully.
1. Pause
Take time to stop and think before you speak or act. Of course, you may feel sorry if you like doing something without thinking—like sending an angry email or posting something bad on social media. If you feel your feelings getting out of control, pause. If possible, go for a short walk. Once you’ve calmed down, decide how you want to move forward.
2. Volume control
Have you ever noticed that when speaking with someone, your style or tone is a mirror of the other person’s? If you stay calm or quiet, they’ll follow you. Shout or scream, and they’ll do just like you. If a discussion starts to become worse, try to change it by softening your tone or lowering your voice.
3. Record
If you want to learn more about another person’s thoughts, recording, one way of careful listening, may help. You don’t need to reply at once; instead, you’re listening to understand. Through careful listening, it can help you discover misunderstandings you didn’t know. Don’t judge or offer advice before you know more about others and the topic.
1.What does the writer compare people’s ability to?

2.How many ways are mentioned to manage feelings?

Schools Ban Phones
How would you feel if your school banned phones in class?
In February, the Ministry of Education announced that mobile phones should, in principle(原則上), be banned(禁止)in primary and secondary schools. This notice aims to protect students’ eyesight, make sure they focus on their work and prevent them from becoming addicted(上癮的)to the Internet and online games.
Xu Xiaohe, a 13-year-old from Zhejiang, supports the policy. “In fact, my school has never allowed us to bring our mobile phones,” Xu said. “It’s a distraction(干擾)from our work. Even adults can’t control themselves, let alone kids like us.”
Li Zihan from Beijing, however, feels differently. The 13-year-old believes that a mobile phone ban is too simplistic(簡單化的)for a generation that has grown up with mobile phones.
“Students should be taught self-management skills, as well as learn how to use their phones effectively(有效地)to help with their studies,” Li said. “This might be the best way to deal with technology in modern times.”
For Ge Ziqi, the problem with banning phones has more to do with life outside of school. The 13-year-old Beijinger uses a bike-sharing app every day to travel between her home and school.
“Today, phones are used everywhere, from taking a bus to buying food,” she said. “If I can’t take my phone with me, I’ll have to buy own bicycle.”
Some schools have come up with ideas to solve problems like Ge’s. At Shanghai Shatian School, for example, students are asked to put their phones in special lockers(儲物柜)during school hours. The students call these lockers the “phone farm”(“養(yǎng)機場”)or “phone tarmac”(“停機坪”).

In the past five years, about 2.8 billion school textbooks were sold every year, with total spending of 20 billion yuan, news magazine Outlook Weekly reported.
Zhao Dehua, a businessman in Guangdong, owns a large factory dealing with things that can be reused. He said many college students sold the textbooks they had used for four years at a price of 1 yuan per kilogram. As these textbooks are mostly used to produce reused paper. The cost is even higher than that of newspaper.
At present, free textbooks on music, art and science for the nine-year education from primary school to middle school have been reused. But there isn’t a good plan for the second-hand textbook trade, so most of the textbooks end up as waste.
“Every year, second-hand booksellers collect textbooks at a price of about 4,000 yuan a ton. It is more than twice the price of usual waste paper. But the number of people who come to collect second-hand books is still small.” Zhao Dehua said.
“Setting up the way of textbook reuse is good for the environment. Besides, it also helps to develop students’ saving habits and sense of environmental protection.” said Zhu Pin, head of a school in Jiangxi Province. A.回答問題。

If you are in Shanghai and want to throw a cup of milk tea, be careful. You need to follow these steps: first, pour out any leftover(殘留物) into a wet waste bin; second, put the paper wrapper into a recyclable waste bin; finally, throw the single-use cup and straw(吸管) into a dry waste bin.
Sound complex(復雜的)? You’ll have to get used to it. From July 1st,2019 on, people in Shanghai are required to sort(將...分類) their garbage(垃圾)according to strict rules. Garbage is divided into wet garbage, toxic(有毒的)garbage and recyclable garbage. Many other cities in China are planning to create similar sorting rules.
Why should we sort our garbage? The answer lies in the increasing amount of waste we are producing. Chinese cities produce over 200 million tons of waste each year, according to China Economic Net. Most of this waste is buried in landfills, which may pollute water and soil. Moreover, we are running out of space for new landfills.
In fact, more than half of our waste can be recycled. Recyclable garbage can be made into new materials, while wet garbage can be used to make gas, heat and fertilizer(肥料). But in order to recycle efficiently(有效地), we need to sort our garbage.
Can’t garbage-processing companies do the sorting job for us? They can. But that requires a lot of work and costs lots of money. Things will become much easier if each of us can sort our own garbage. Besides, the troublesome task of sorting might encourage people to produce less waste. Do you still want to buy that milk tea?

Giving flowers to others is a way of showing feelings to them. Although it’s one of the oldest traditions, it has never lost its charm (魅力) and never will. It’s a simple way that speaks much for givers, much more than the most expensive gift can. A red rose carries a message of love, and a bunch of flowers can show warmth and carry a message of love. Flowers can be used in many occasions (場合), like at parties and at festivals.
The choice of flowers for different occasions changes. It depends on the thoughts or feelings you want to show. Sunflowers are often used on Father’s Day, while some female flowers such as white or red carnations (康乃馨) are often given on Mother’s Day. The language of flowers conveys much more than the spoken language does. Flowers are perfect gifts for all occasions. They carry love, cheer and warm feelings. So it’s important to choose right flowers on right occasions. Keep the following rules in mind, please.
◆Choosing flowers’ colors which are suitable for the occasions.
◆Knowing about what your friends or family like most can make your choice easy.
◆Giving flowers properly, which is the key to conveying your message. For instance, giving to the roses to girls is better than giving sunflowers to them.
