Step 1: Warm-up & Lead-in
1. Sing a chant.
Play the chant in “Let’s chant” n page 25.(課件出示:教材P25 Let’s chant板塊的chant)Get students t chant tgether.
2. Lead-in.
Pint t a student and ask ther students t try t describe his/ her characteristics by using the key sentence structures they have learned.
Step 2: Presentatin
1. Create a situatin.
(1) Shw the utline f Sarah.(課件出示:Sarah的外輪廓)
T: I have tw new friends. Wh are they? Guess! Nw, let’s have a lk!
Ss: She is a girl. She is tall and thin.(Get students t describe her characteristics.)
T: Lk at her hair.(Pint t her hair.)
Teach the wrd “hair/he?(r)/” and ask students t read it after the teacher.
T: It’s lng. (Shw students the meaning f “l(fā)ng” by gestures.) Her hair is lng. She has lng hair.
Write dwn the sentence “She has lng hair.” n the blackbard.
Ss: She is…
Accrding t the descriptin and the bservatin, let students guess her name. Then shw a cmplete picture f Sarah. (課件出示:Sarah的完整圖像)
T: Oh, it’s Sarah. Sarah has lng hair.

“hair”為學(xué)生新接觸的單詞。將單詞融入短語中,以對(duì)比的方式使學(xué)生充分理解新詞的意思。教師通過真實(shí)的情景,幫助學(xué)生用不同句型表達(dá)同一種意思。
Teach the phrase “l(fā)ng hair” and the sentence “She has lng hair.” Pint t the ther girls with lng hair in class, and practice the sentence.
(2) Pint t a girl with shrt hair in the class.
T: But she has shrt hair. (Shw students the meaning f “shrt” by gestures. Write dwn the phrase “shrt hair” n the blackbard.)
Pint t a by with shrt hair in the class and say ut the phrase “shrt hair”. Ask students t read the phrase while ding sme actins. Practice the phrase “shrt hair” and the sentence “He/ She has shrt hair.”
T: Wh has shrt hair in ur class?
Get students t answer the questin with the sentence “He/ She has shrt hair.”
T: Yes. His/ Her hair is shrt.
Write dwn the tw sentences, and ask students t make a cmparisn.
(3) Shw the utline f Wu Yifan n the PPT. (課件出示: 吳一凡的外輪廓) Lead students t say the sentences “He is a by. His hair is shrt. / He has shrt hair.”
Then present Wu Yifan’s green schlbag and blue glasses n the PPT. (課件出示:吳一凡的綠書包和藍(lán)眼鏡)
Teach the phrases “blue glasses, a green bag”.
Ask students t use the key sentence structures “He has…” r “His…is/ are…” t intrduce the by.
S1: He has blue glasses. He has a green bag.
S2: His glasses are blue. His bag is green.

T: My anther friend is Wu Yifan. And he is Mike’s gd friend, t. Let’s listen and read.
(1)Shw the picture f “Let’s learn” n the PPT. Play the recrding. (課件出示:教材P28 Let’s learn板塊的圖片及音頻) Ask students t read after it and pay attentin t the prnunciatin and the intnatin. Lead students t read the wrds tgether and have a cmpetitin in different grups. Fr example: Grup 1 PK Grup 2, bys PK girls.
(2)First, make a mdel with a student. Then lead students t ask and answer in pairs.

Ask students t imitate the dialgue between Mike and Chen Jie and discuss the appearances and ther characteristics f the tw characters.

A: My friend has brwn shes.
B: It’s Amy. Her shes are brwn.
Step 3: Practice
1. Find friends.
The teacher takes ut the prepared phrase cards and lets students say the equivalent phrases f the card in grups.
Like this:
Grup 1 shws the card “l(fā)ng hair”.
S1: Lng hair.
S2: Shrt hair.
Grup 2 shws the card “l(fā)ng arms”.
S1: Lng arms.
S2: Shrt arms.
Grup 3 shws the card “a red bag”.
