根據(jù)畫線詞的上文“Nw, researchers have fund in a new study an inexpensive, sustainable chice t replace mechanical cling with refrigerants (制冷劑) in ht and dry climates (現(xiàn)在,研究人員在一項新的研究中發(fā)現(xiàn),在炎熱干燥的氣候條件下,用制冷劑代替機械冷卻是一種廉價、可持續(xù)的選擇)”可知,此處是介紹用制冷劑代替機械冷卻方法的優(yōu)勢,再結(jié)合畫線詞的下文“the dangers f heat waves during electricity blackuts (停電期間熱浪的危險)”可推知,這種方法可以“減輕”這種風(fēng)險,畫線詞應(yīng)該與Relieve“緩解,減輕”相近。
根據(jù)第二段中“The researchers set ut t answer hw t achieve a new benchmark (基準(zhǔn)) fr passive cling inside naturally cnditined buildings in ht climates such as Suthern Califrnia. They examined the use f rf materials that radiate (輻射) heat int the cld universe, even under direct sunlight, and hw t cnnect them with temperature-driven air exchanges (that is, air can enter buildings and circulate freely).
根據(jù)倒數(shù)第二段中““We did this withut abandning a healthy airing.” This was never a piece f cake, cnsidering air exchanges are a surce f heat when the aim is t keep a rm cler than the utside.
根據(jù)最后一段中Salmaan Craig所說的話“We hpe that materials scientists, architects, and engineers will be interested in these results, and that ur wrk will inspire mre thrugh thinking abut hw t cnnect breakthrughs in radiative cling materials with simple but effective architectural slutins (我們希望材料科學(xué)家、建筑師和工程師對這些結(jié)果感興趣,我們的工作將激發(fā)更深入的思考,如何將輻射冷卻材料的突破與簡單而有效的建筑解決方案聯(lián)系起來)”可知,研究人員希望研究結(jié)果可以激發(fā)更深入的思考,將材料科學(xué)上的突破與建筑設(shè)計聯(lián)系起來。
