Many peple knw that rbts explre space and build things in factries. But did yu knw that there are many ther kinds f rbts? Let’s meet sme f these rbts and find ut what they d.
Rbt 1
If yur family are mving t a new huse, this tw-legged rbt is a gd helper. It can lift several heavy bxes and carry them t the mving truck befre returning inside fr mre. It has the ability t walk mre carefully and skillfully than ther rbts.
Rbt 2
Pwered by the sun, this rbt wrks in a frest. It keeps an eye n everything frm animal mvements t the frest’s temperature, then sends the infrmatin back t the scientists. This rbt can watch hw the envirnment changes fr a lng perid f time, which is difficult fr humans.
Rbt 3
This pie-making rbt is cutting a pie int pieces in the kitchen. It uses its arms t d all the things human cks might d when they make fd. But it makes much mre fd than human cks. It can prepare a pie in 45 secnds and ck 80 pies an hur. It even divides yur pie and bxes it up.
Rbt 4
This bright range rbt helps repair the machines under deep water. It can reach the part which is t deep fr a human diver. Humans prgram where the rbt shuld g and what it shuld d. This rbt can als help humans explre the sea and discver new living things. But it can’t wrk fr lng underwater.
I dn’t believe it! I’m still sitting here writing my paper. I’ve had tw weeks t prepare and write it and I need t hand it in tmrrw. A mnth ag, I made a decisin t never leave things t the last minute. Well, I’ve failed. I’ve als been trying t g running t get fitter with my classmates after schl fr fur weeks. But I really feel it’s difficult t fllw my plan nw. Why is it s hard t break a bad habit and frm a gd ne?
I’ve just read an article and I’ve discvered that it isn’t my prblem! In fact, it’s ur brains. Our brains are prgrammed t make it difficult t break bad habits. Research shws when we d smething the same way repeatedly, ur brain ntices. It’s just like, “Oh, writing a paper is hard. We still have time. We can relax fr nw? Gt it!” If we always d things like that, we get “int the habit” f leaving things t the last minute. We may even get a reward (獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)) frm this bad habit, at least at first. Our brain may say, “Ah, relaxatin! I like this!” Slwly, it seems that we can’t stp ding the habit r cntrl it. Maybe it’s because we dn’t knw hw t get the rewards withut ding it.
But that’s nt all. Scientists have als discvered that it takes ten weeks t frm a gd habit. That’s because ten weeks is the amunt f time the brain needs t change and accept a new habit as part f everyday life. The gd news is that nce yu make it t ten weeks, everything becmes a lt easier. The bad news is that ten weeks is a really lng time, s yu may give up yur plan sner.
S there yu are. Maybe we want t change ur ways and becme better peple, but ur brains wn’t let us. Or is this just an excuse? Lk—I’ve finished my paper n time! Anything is pssible!
