This sunflwer painting is an il painting by Vincent Van Ggh, a great painter frm the Netherlands. It was cmpleted in Arles in 1889 and is amng his famus wrks. It shws sunflwers in a vase, mstly in three shades f yellw, frm bright yellws t brwnish yellws.
I can see the flwers at different stages f life -- sme are just starting t blm and sme are starting t wither. The painting leaves a great impressin n me. I think it shws the meaning f life. Mei Lanfang(1894-1961) was a great artist f Peking pera. Mei Lanfang was his stage name. His real name is Mei Lan.
Mei Lanfang was brn int a family f Peking pera perfrmers in Beijing. Mei began studying Peking pera at the age f eight and made his first perfrmance n the stage when he was ten years ld, playing a girl. Sme f his mst famus rles were Bai Niangzi, Lin Daiyu, Yuii and Yang Yuhuan. Mei was ne f the greatest singer-actr-dancers in Chinese histry.
Mei was the first artist t spread Peking pera t freign cuntries. He tured Japan in 1919, 1924 and 1956, and the United States in 1930. In 1935, Mei tured arund Eurpe. Thanks t his perfrmances, Peking pera wn the hearts f s many freign peple.In 2000, the stry f his life was filmed in adcumentary. Its name is The Wrlds f Mei Lanfang.
