As a yung girl grwing up in France, Sarah Tumi dreamed f becming a leader wh culd make the wrld a better place. Fllwing the release f the previus guidelines in 2014, the Task Frce reviewed 84 studies testing vitamins in almst 700,000 peple, including 52 new studies.
Hwever, the cnclusin is still the same as that f 2014: If yu are a healthy adult wh is nt pregnant, there is nt enugh evidence f benefits t expand ne’s life in taking vitamin E, vitamin D, vitamin A, calcium tablets, cartene(胡蘿卜素), vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin C and ther supplements. The Task Frce des nt recmmend taking cartene supplements t prevent cardivascular(心血管) disease r cancer, with enugh evidence that it “may increase the risk f death, the death rate f cardivascular disease and the risk f lung cancer”. Nr shuld peple take vitamin E, “because vitamin E is nt likely t be beneficial in reducing death, cardivascular disease r cancer risk,” the Task Frce said.
