表示“抓住”類的動詞:seize, grasp, grip , take hld f
(1)Fear gripped her heart. ?br>(2)Jealusy seized her. ?br>(3)A wild jy tk hld f her.
(4)A feeling f panic seized her.
(5)Anxiety tre her int pieces.
(6)Anger and bitterness cvered upn me fr weeks.
于是,動詞通常是get the better f或者get the best f(都表示“勝過”)。
He std up, hugged his parents, and smiled, trying nt t let his emtins get the better f him.
(1)Enthusiasm gets the better f me.
(2)Bredm ften gets the best f them.
(3)His curisity gt the better f him .
(1)Wrrying deprived him f sleep.
(2)Excitement deprived me f all pwer f speech.
(3)Astnishment and hrrr ppressed her.
(4)Anger and bitterness had preyed upn me cntinually.
(1)Happiness crawls up t the tips f his brws.
(2)A slight feeling f fear slwly crept n him.
(3)Self-dubt began t gnaw away at her cnfidence.
(4)Fear swallwed her.
(1)Jy shne frm his brw.
(2)Happiness radiates frm her face.
(3)Smile spread acrss his face.
(4)She has been in a dark md this week.
(5)His face cluded ver when he heard the news.
上面),需要人們carry(承受), 而這些情感負擔的unburden(卸去)、lse(失去)則會讓人感到輕松、獲得解脫。例如:
(1)Grief bears heavily n her.
He was burdened with wrries
(3)The manager carried his anger.
(4)After I lst my temper,I felt lighter.
(5)Unburdening herself f her anger gave her a sense f relief.
常見的動詞有:涌出(well up),surge(涌動 )甚至sweep (沖;卷 ),有時fill/brim/take pssessin f (注滿/盛滿 / 占滿 )容器,有時verflw/well(漫出/溢出)容器,在高溫下甚至會bil(沸騰) .
(1)Panic surged up within him .
(2)The terrible scene filled her with fear.
(3)A wave f panic swept ver her.
(4)The lneliness and grief cmes in waves.
(1)His heart is verflwing with jy.
(2)I culd feel anger biling up inside me.
(3)He was brimming with srrw when she left him .
