【36題詳解】
前文“As a result, many f them dn’t learn hw t manage their time wisely when they have sme dwntime. (因此,他們中的許多人沒有學(xué)會如何在休息時間明智地管理他們的時間)”指出很多孩子不會管理自己的時間,后文段落給出具體的教孩子管理時間的方法,因此F項(xiàng)“Here are sme steps yu can take t teach yur teen (這里有一些教你孩子的步驟)”承接前文,引出后文的方法,符合語境。故選F。
【37題詳解】
前文“Teach him t schedule his day s he can set aside time fr chres (瑣事), hmewrk, and ther respnsibilities. (教他安排好自己的一天,這樣他就能留出時間做家務(wù)、做作業(yè)和其他責(zé)任)”提出教孩子安排好去做必做之事的時間,后文“s time desn’t idly pass withut feeling like he hasn’t dne anything fun (所以他不會覺得自己沒有做過任何有趣的事情)”談到做好某件事后的良好結(jié)果,因此D項(xiàng)“Encurage him t schedule free time as well (也鼓勵他安排空閑時間)”提出讓孩子安排好空閑時間,和前文是遞進(jìn)關(guān)系,引出后文的良好結(jié)果,符合語境,其中的free time和后文的fun呼應(yīng)。

The cmpetitin was quite straightfrward:every cntestant wuld receive a cube (立方體) f ice. The team that had the biggest piece left the next day wuld win!
As always, I partnered with my best friend, Vlad. That afternn we went straight t the library. After an intense discussin, we agreed n the basic idea f having the ice cube inside a bx, which wuld be put inside anther bigger bx. Between the tw bxes wuld be the heat insulatr (絕緣體).
The first test f the icebx was extremely disappinting. Since this was ur first experiment, we bth wanted gd results t build ur cnfidence. Befre I went t bed that night, I carefully picked ut a huge blck f ice frm ur refrigeratr and placed it inside the icebx. When I wke up the next mrning and lked int the icebx, there wasn’t even a bit f ice left. Reflecting n this failure, we were determined t find a better insulating material. Then we tried the same experiment again. This time, we made it. There was 70 percent f the ice left.

【答案】One pssible versin:
The day f the cmpetitin came very fast. We all brught ur masterpieces int the classrm. Every team had a different design-frm bxes made f different materials t bxes that perated in different ways. One fellw even attached a mtr t his icebx and turned it int a refrigeratr. Befre we left schl, Mr. Hussey gave each grup an ice tube f the same size. We put them in the icebxes that were placed side by side n the table. Then we left fr hme, hping that we wuld win.
The next day, everybdy rushed twards these wrks f art. We all hped that there wuld still be sme ice left. Sme kids searched and searched, and were even abut t tear their icebxes apart, but culdn’t find anything. Luckily, it turned ut that we didn’t d t badly. Having almst 60 percent f the ice cube still remaining, we had an abve-average result! The winner f the cmpetitin, hwever, was the guy wh made a mtrized refrigeratr. When we pened his icebx, he had a piece f ice that was 140 percent the size f the riginal! His innvative design was definitely a cut abve the rest.
