教材分析
本課是一節(jié)閱讀課,該語(yǔ)篇選自美國(guó)著名詩(shī)人、小說(shuō)家、批評(píng)家埃德加·愛倫·坡 (1809—1849)的短篇小說(shuō) “A Descent int the Maelstrm” 《大漩渦歷險(xiǎn)記》。小說(shuō)采取倒敘手法,回憶了三年前主人翁和兩個(gè)兄弟又去了經(jīng)常去探險(xiǎn)的島嶼,捕撈到了比其他人更多的魚,返回時(shí)在海上遇險(xiǎn)的故事。主人翁的哥哥和弟弟在大漩渦中分別遇難,主人翁機(jī)智地把自己綁在一個(gè)桶上在海上漂流,最后僥幸被一艘船救起。雖然救主人翁的漁夫都是主人翁的老朋友,但是他們都認(rèn)不出主人翁本人了,也不相信主人翁的歷險(xiǎn)故事,因?yàn)椴坏揭惶斓臅r(shí)間,主人翁的頭發(fā)就從黑變白了,主人翁的身體和靈魂已經(jīng)支離破碎,看上去已經(jīng)是一個(gè)很老的人了。
