When Rachel Ratelle saw a news vide f a burned kala trying t climb a tree t safety in fire-ravaged(火災(zāi)肆虐的)Australia, she decided t d smething abut it.

Over the next few mnths, Ratelle bught her wn sewing machine and taught herself hw t sew via vides nline. Then she bught 18 yards f fabric and sewed 25 puches f different sizes and shipped them ff t Fir Australian Wildlife Needing Aid(FAWNA),ne f several relief rganizatins that have rushed t rescue kalas,kangars and ther species suffering frm bums. A week later, she received a pht frm FAWNA with a baby kangar in ne f her larger puches.
