Many years earlier, my mther knew that she culd nt send me t cllege and pay fr it. She wrked in a retail stre and made just enugh t pay the bills and take care f the ther children at hme. If I wanted t g t cllege, it was up t me t find ut hw t get there.

My first discvery was his grandmther’s great lve f music. She spent hurs playing her ld, ff-key pian. One day, she tld me I didn’t have enugh fun in my life and tk it upn herself t teach me the art. Grandma was impressed with my ability and encuraged me t cntinue.
