1. n lnger 不再He n lnger read bks.他不再看書了。 辨析:n lnger 與 n mre(1) n lnger中的lnger是副詞lng的比較級,lng有在某一時刻以后之意,著重表示時間的不再延續(xù),意為“如今不再”,通常放在行為動詞之前,be動詞的后面。n lnger可用nt any lnger代替;n lnger 修飾延續(xù)性動詞,如teach, live, wrk等,表示動作不再延續(xù)。

(2) n mre中的mre是many / much的比較級mre有again之意,著重表示數(shù)量或程度的減少,意為“再也沒有更多(大)的數(shù)量(程度)”。
n mre 等于nt…any mre ; n mre /nt… any mre 與 n lnger同義,但用法有所區(qū)別;當涉及數(shù)量和程度時要用n mre; n mre修飾非延續(xù)性動詞,如cme, g, make (the same mistake)等,表示動作不再發(fā)生。There is n mre bread. 沒有面包了。
2. at least 至少;起碼She was at least that much shrter than me.她至少比我矮這么多。We need at least 2 hurs.我們至少需要兩小時。
3. be angry with sb. 表示 “生某人的氣”。 I shall be angry with yu if yu break the cup.你要是把杯子打壞的話,我會生氣的。
4. The reasn is that he thinks it will g wrng if I play games n it.原因是他認為如果我在電腦上玩游戲,電腦就會出毛病。 (1) reasn原因;理由,其后可接fr, that。I have n reasn fr it.我沒有理由這樣做。Give me yur reasn fr ding it.告訴我你做這事的理由。
(2) g wrng 表示 “出毛病,出故障;出錯”。如:His televisin has gne wrng again. 他的電視機又出毛病了。 Fllw these instructins and it wn’t g wrng. 按照操作指南去做,就不會出錯。
5. I’m nt sure whether a cmputer engineer can get the dcuments back. 我不知道電腦工程師是否可以將那些文件找回來。(1) 引導(dǎo)賓語從句,一般既可用whether也可用if。但句中含有 r nt時能用whether不用if。 I dn’t knw whether r nt he will cme.我不知道他是不是會來。(2) 如果rnt 放在whether所引導(dǎo)的從句句尾,則可以用if替換。 I dn’t knw whether/if he will cme r nt. 我不知道他是不是會回來。
(3)在強調(diào)任意選擇時,用whether…r,此時不用if 替代whether. He asked me whether1 wanted t g there by train r by bus.他問我想乘火車還是坐公共汽車去那里。注: whether…r 一起還有“不管”之意,引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句。Whether he drives r takes the train, he will be here n time.不管開車來還是坐火車來, 他都會準時到。(4)只用whether不用if的情況。強調(diào)賓語部分,也可把從句放在句首。Whether he will cme I am nt sure. 他是不是來我拿不準。
作介詞賓語時,如:It depends n whether it will be fine.那得看是不是晴天。作discuss等動詞的賓語時。We discussed whether we shuld clse the shp.我們討論是不是該關(guān)掉商店句子中有if引導(dǎo)的條件句,如再有表示“是否”的賓語從句,用whether 不用if。He asked me whether I’d lve t mve t New Yrk if I gt the jb.他問我如果得到那份工作是否會搬家到紐約。
