Structure:S+was/were+past participle…教學難點：Practice passive voice in the past tense in listening and speaking.Learn when to use passive voice.教學過程(表格描述)教學環(huán)節(jié)主要教學活動設(shè)置意圖Step 1Warming-up(PPT 3-5)Ask Ss to have a discussion about China’s great four inventions.Make Ss look at the pictures. Ask and answer the following questions.What is it?Who and when was it invented…討論中國四大發(fā)明，通過圖片認識表達四大發(fā)明的名詞。Step 2Lead-in(PPT 6-7)Show some pictures for Ss to look and know something about the inventors of the inventions.Ask Ss to match the inventions with the right inventors. 通過圖片了解發(fā)明家及其發(fā)明，導(dǎo)入1a。Step 3Presentation(PPT 8)Work on 1a.1. Show some pictures of inventions for Ss to look. In what order do you think they were invented? Discuss them with your group. Then number them[1-4] (1=first, 4= last)2. Check answers and ask Ss to make up sentences with was invented. 3. Read the sentences.  將1a的4個圖片按時間順序排列好并用被動語態(tài)表達出來，朗讀。Step 4Listening(PPT 9-17)Work on 1b,1c. 1. Play the tape for Ss to listen and match the inventions with the years. 2. Listen again and answer the questions.Student B, cover the dates. Student A, ask Student B when the things in the picture in 1b were invented. Then change roles and practice again.  A: When was the telephone invented? B: I think it was invented in 1876.Make Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer the questions about the inventions with when and who.  - When was the TV invented?  - It was invented in 1927.  - Who was it invented by?  - It was invented by Baird.4. Look at the pictures and learn “be used for”. 完成1b并大聲朗讀句子。訓練學生的口語表達能力，學習be used for為2a和2b聽力做鋪墊。Step 5Listening &Pair work (PPT 18-25)Work on 2a,2b,2c. 1. Play the tape for Ss to listen and number the inventions [1-3] in the order they hear them. 2. Ss listen again and complete the chart.3. Listen again and fill in the blanks. 4. Check answers.5. Work in pairs to make conversations using the information in 2b. - What is / are … used for? - It’s / They’re … used for …聽2a和2b完成各自的聽力任務(wù)。然后創(chuàng)造真實的語言環(huán)境，學生利用2b的對話信息進行交談。熟練聽力的基本句型。Step 6 Role -play(PPT 26-33)Work on 2d.1. Talk about the Top 10 inventions that changed the world. 分角色朗讀使學生理解每一個角色的表達任務(wù)以及情感。擴展閱讀材料使學生開闊視野，了解更多關(guān)于發(fā)明物和發(fā)明者的信息。Step 7Language points (PPT 34-45)1. Explain the usage of invent, pleasure, mention...2. Explain the other usages of be used for, do seem, have a point...  3. Read the words and phrases. 講解本單元的重點詞匯以及句型，使學生掌握這些用法。Step 8Exercises(PPT 46-50)1.Show some exercise to practice the key words, the target language and key sentences. 2. Check the answers one by one.通過單選、詞形填空、填單詞、完成句子和翻譯句子等形式練習所學的重點詞匯、短語以及被動語態(tài)的用法。Step 9中考鏈接(PPT 51-52)Do exercises to practice the usage of be invented by, invention.將所學的知識與中考對be used for， invention的考查連接起來。Step 10Homework(PPT 53)1.Listen to 1b and 2b.2.Finish off the exercises.3.Make a conversation about some inventions.4.Role-play the conversation.作業(yè)既設(shè)計了聽力、對話表演等練習本課時的重點句型，也設(shè)計了開放性的作業(yè)，開闊學生的視野。板書設(shè)計Unit 6 When was it invented?Section A (1a-2d)1. -When was the telephone invented? -I think it was invented in 1876.2. -What is it/are they used for?-It's/They're used for…3.
